Anybody else always have a low grade paranoia? I don't know if it's part of bp or ptsd.

I have a lot of it. It's low grade but gets more irrational sometimes.

I get anxiety and then short spurts of paranoia that last for a few days. Very recently the paranoia has surrounded all sorts of doom fearful and unrealistic expectations about death, such as the risk of dying at any moment and the idea that life after death is painful. :/
I know it's irrational and not worth thinking about but it grips my mind. Furthermore, I will wake up in the middle of the night with it on my mind, and I'm in such a disoriented haze that it's difficult to take control of it.

I was just thinking how I'm feeling paraoid as I clicked on the bipolar forum, and there it is at the top. Some of my paranoia lasts for only a few moments, then I realize its irrational. But I do have some real reasons for it, but not getting enough sleep certainly makes this problem worse for me over the years.
Odee, I've been dealing with the same thing lately! You are right, it doesn't help thinking about it but its been hard for me to shake off too. |

It's good knowing I'm not the only one. Not good that u guys have it too though, lol.
I think I've had it most of my life, I always thought it was just me being self conscious. Until this last episode when I knew I was paranoid. Then I was like I'm like this (to a lesser degree, of course) all the time. |

For me sometimes like when I'm grocery shopping I think everybody knows I'm bp. Sometimes I think my family wants me institutionalized. One of my sister's in particular. My other sister's tell me it's not true but she's the one that is the first to say you need to go to the hospital...She has no clue what its like in this particular clinic I'll call it.
The actual hospital isn't that bad but they only put you in there if your suicidal or homicidal. The other place is like a warehouse she would never send her kids there but me she's fine with. It's like let's lock her up and heavily medicate her so she's quiet and conforms. My other sister's say she doesn't want that for me but she's always saying maybe you need to be on more meds. Yeah so I can be like you a cold, lack of compassion mass of ice. Sorry rant... |
