When you're in the hospital, and all the patients are crazy, but by the time you leave they are all healed. Which is why it's okay for you to leave now because you have fulfilled your purpose here, and it's time for the rest of the world to be blessed by your presence!

When you call your sister at 4 am to convince her to take a trip NOW with you and packing while on the phone because she'll be here any second. It only takes seconds to drive 600+ miles right? Then your husband gets really confused when your sister gets there because she was awake, board and want and took a drive. Now he has 2 manic people on his hands. (I'm sure he loved marrying into my family)

When your explaining to T why exactly your mad that your complex won't allow you to have an indoor pool in your spare room. It's the perfect solution because they don't want it outside. You even cleaned the room and figured out how to keep mold away but they just wont listen to you. A couple months later you get a note they plan to do inspections every 3 months and know that's your doing.

When you have to remind yourself that T & pdoc are not on PC impersonating long time members to trying to convince you to call them. Sorry guys loves you, seriously sorry

When you self-medicate and fall asleep for too long then miss social events, but you're so good at distraction you keep the guilt at bay until you realise you are a terrible friend and it hits you like a ton of bricks.

Wow those are 2 good ones... I'm feeling numb but I'll give it a go:

... when you've spent unknown how many days in bed , without showering , going back & forth to the kitchen , watched 3 seasons straight of Game of Thrones , wondering where your servants are , wondering if you should start back over at season 1 , and don't even care that there's a "depression" the shape of your butt in your bed... And have gained 10 lbs in past few weeks - that one does bother you...

When you walk into a store to buy your teenage son a 60 dollar phone and walk out with a $400 iPhone. Thankfully no contract involved, but can't return phone as I can't bear the look on son's face.

Ahhhh, good times.

When you are drinking a Margarita, and screaming into your cell phone at 9PM while giving your daughter a bath, because it's an EMERGENCY that this press release won't go out tomorrow if the person on the other end of the line can't understand where you are coming from, and he can't...

When you're up all night and not even tired, then you can sleep for 12 hours or more

When you listen to the same song over and over again, because each time you listen, you hear a different meaning....all the time wondering why your husband doesn't appreciate the song as well.

... when you feel the need to ask the person running a course on mental health to clarify the difference between hypomania and mania.. and the clarify the difference between bipolar and Borderline. Not because you need to know them, but because the book doesn't cover Borderline at all and doesn't explain the difference between bipolar 1 and 2 and you feel the need for everyone else to have at least a concept that there is a spectrum and that not everyone who has bipolar experiences psychosis.

And then have to bite your cheeks to refrain from elaborating on the instructor's very brief explanation.

you know you're a bipolar after having an extended period of crappy type days, even though trying to make it, you are pleasantly surprised with a truly lovely day, for various or a reason, or no particular reason at all!
Thanks for this!
