I wrote on the depression forum how my depression has changed this is the last post from it from the end of the day.. Only thing good is now I am exhausted but will watch tv or listen to something to occupy my mind from my thoughts that tend to race or like right now just got stuck on repeating " tend to race , tend to race in my head
![]() Just have to vent so it's out I am still f%*#*ing angry , raging inside... At the same time my heart hurts and I feel hopeless to fix any of it .. At least when my quote normal depression the constant void and not caring about anything, no energy to do anything flat out on my back with a few crying spells is familiar normal to me.. I don't even know who the hell I am right now or what do with rage and anger... Cause none of what I could do is productive it's so filled with hate of everything this rage. I feel like I could just explode |

Just because they have not yet diagnosed you with something doesn't mean they won't later.
I cannot say what you do or do not have. Have you tried any of the questionnaires on PC?

Hi Forever.
I have BP2, and I know there are times where the anger is impossible to contain. It often comes about when I feel like I have been pushed beyond my limits, where I feel like emotionally I am in a corner with no way out or simply drowning with my life. So yes, bipolar can certainly present with full blown anger. For me, its about how to let it out in a controlled manner with the least amount of damage done, not easy but doable if a plan is already in place You don't mention medications or whether you have any support team / therapist. Those two would be my first recommendation if not already in place. If you do have someone you can talk to, don't hold back, but let them know how it is and what you want to do about it. It maybe you need medication and or a medication change, or it maybe that some lifestyle changes and reductions in stress will help. The two go hand in hand I believe - medication and lifestyle. That aside, I wish you all the best. Keep posting and keep talking, it won't always be like this. ![]()

I can get the anger on either pole, with atypical depression and hypomanic or mixed.

When I was first diagnosed my presenting mood was chronic anger and irritability when I was only hypomanic back then.
My thoughts can also constantly circle around in a depressive phase too and they're usually pretty negative. There are a few criteria one needs to meet in order to be diagnosed with bp. My suggestion is that if you suspect you are, go for a thorough medical assessment because if you were you would require different meds and if you're not the anger would still need to be addressed with supportive therapy. |

Google panic disorder with bipolar. Comorbid condition.
Amazingly over half of everyone with panic disorder also has bipolar. Scientists have different theories. One theory is both problems are impacted by the same chromosone. What is odd is that almost everyone with panic disorder has bipolar, but not everyone who is bipolar has a panic disorder. Basically, panic disorder rarely travels without bipolar. But bipolar will travel alone. Isn't that freaky? Again, I'm not saying everyone. Just over half. Anywhere from 60 to 80%.

My uncontrollable rage/anger is what finally brought me to my current pdoc who dx me with bp2.
I think anger and irritability are my main hypo symptoms.

Oh my! Had that feeling of extreme anger a few days ago for no reason at all. One second fine, next pissed like there was no tomorrow. Wanted to really lash out and hit something or just freak out. Mind really races when this takes place. I must admit, perhaps I am off, my mind races a lot. Most time I have numerous thoughts flying around. Sometimes hard to focus and complete tasks. Hope this gives you some insight. By the way. Bp 2. Past dx of BPD and depression. One pdoc states one thing another something different.

I know it was a good 2 weeks of that irritable, anger etc. today it seems like it was just a dream besides a few important things I did I can't recall much. My body feels so much better in the way it doesn't feel like a ball of held back energy/tension. |
