something i'm finding helps me more and more is to take part in trivia/ crosswords, puzzles, that kind of thing.

even if i'm not that good at it it's a fun distraction- and i know that i don't retain any of the stuff i learn from it. but it's calming for me

I rode my bike for a half hour each way to mow my uncle's lawn. That felt pretty good being able to help someone that I love

I have 4 small dogs. I like to keep them outside for a few hours, and when I let them in, I just lay on the floor and let the flood of unconditional love and joy attack me all over. It's very therapeutic, blissful really.
Thanks for this!

Candle light would be good.

I bought this bug repellent candles at a thrift store while back. I know it's the other way around, I been happier, so soon, I wanna light it up and reminisce, and keep feeling this way. May work for you even if you're not feeling happy right this moment.
Thanks for this!

I try to get outside and soak in the sun. I love sitting out and reading a good book. I also like to go for walks. I just like getting out of the house and feeling like I have a purpose. I'm going back to college and that has me excited and a little nervous but I think that will make me happy. I really want to get a degree!

I haven't read the entire thread, but coloring calms my mind somehow. Despite it being "childish" it can be very soothing..

For me, one of my happiest places is in a beautiful remote place in the mountains, taking pictures of the night sky.

@Gina: Colouring isn't childish at all! They have some beautiful colouring books for adults. I saw a gorgeous one that was all mandalas, and another that had flowers and butterflies. It made me want to colour!

Now another thing I am doing to improve myself is my wife signed me up for glass blowing classes and I have wanted to do that since I was a kid. Here are some shoes I bought today.

Now I would like to see if we could maybe start a feel good thread post up that new outfit that you just got or a new pair of shoes you picked up and who cares where you bought your stuff as long as it makes you happy. Got a new hobby or are taking a class tell us about it. I have a hard time reading post about how unhappy you are cause it is a trigger for me and I am sure it is to others. I am not saying I don't post stuff that bothers me but I would like to see some more positive stuff.

Closing your eyes in the sun. Feeling the warmth, and seeing the low key light. Makes you feel peaceful and safe.
