I need to start walking. I don't bc it hurts my back but I can start really slowly. I have a walking video I can do. I can do 4 mins but then my back is on fire. But then I can do 4 mins later. But I need to work up slowly. I really, really need to get started with it and stay consistent. But it sucks when it hurts...

Invest in a pair of really good shoes. This is a really useful link to how to choose the best shoes for you 10 Walking Essentials: Shoes.
And if you have a pair of nice new shoes, it makes it more fun to get out and walk also!

Good idea! The shoes I use are about 4 yrs old and they're the only shoes I wear so their probably really worn out. I'm gonna look into that, thanks.

As some others have said, doing housework makes me happy. Well, I don't really enjoy doing it, but when I get finished, seeing the place I just cleaned as nice and tidy makes me feel really happy and calm. I will have to remember that feeling whenever I want to procrastinate on chores.

As far as relaxing things that make me happy, I just started a new book last night called The Quest by Wilbur Smith. Another patient gave it to me after she was finished with it when I was in the hospital last year and I'm just getting around to reading it now. It's good so far!
Thanks for this!

I am downloading shows for me, my husband, and our friend to watch tonight for our weekly superhero night. We watch Arrow, Flash, Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, and Smallville. We also might squeeze in a Dr. Who episode this week.
Thanks for this!

Good advice. I started walking last year, and my feet were killing me.
I invested in a good pair of walking runners, and my feet are very thankful

Really happy to hear that! Walking is not just good exercise, but good for clearing the head also. Unfortunately I dont do it often enough! I am one of those people who loves to dispense advice to others, but not so good at following it myself

I bought the first Picross e game for my Nintendo DS and I'm playing a few of the puzzles. It is a good peaceful game that is not stimulating at all and is good to pass the time while trying to fall asleep.
Thanks for this!

I've enjoyed reading what you all have written.

I enjoy lighting scented candles and reading a book on my Kindle.

I quilt. I took it up a few years ago, then sank into depression and abandoned it, but now that i'm better, I'm back to quilting. It keeps me busy and more relaxed.
