Awww, I'm sorry that it didn't work out in your favor hun. Be proud that you did get out of the house and made a good try, that's for sure. That's something I hate about being bipolar, I automatically think I know what everyone is thinking, and it's usually about me and not good which makes me nervous and awkward. Jobs are hard to come by, you just need to keep trying, something will turn up. My pdoc told me that having a job gives good self esteem, but then I thought not when it blows up in your face!
I do interior design for clients and get to set my own work schedule most of the time so that I can work around my moods and appointments. If I had to actually work for someone, I don't think I could do it if not well. I say go find a job and see what you can do. Of course the extra money would help. Your ol man's ego got bruised, that's all. He'll get over it. Good luck hunny! ![]() |

I have a full time emotionally, physically and socially rigorous job and I go to college. So it's possible. I'm coping kind of okay, but I don't really sleep and it takes a lot out of me. I'm pretty burnt out. It hasn't really affected my work though. I got a good performance review recently.

I work full-time and have been with the same company almost 8 years. I just force myself to go to work no matter how I feel. My income being the only income does help motivate me to go and fake it til I make it.

I think each person is different.
When I was younger I worked and went to college. I even had a part time job on the weekends. I was exhausted all of the time and had mood swings, but I could handle it. Today..... NO WAY! I would end up getting fired or put in jail. I believe only you can answer that question for yourself. Take care and good luck.

You could always test the water by volunteering somewhere, just to see how it goes. It might give you some indication as to whether you're ready to go back to work. Just an idea...

Obtw, it's easier to find another job if you're currently working. It means that your committed to the work which looks good to personnel. |
