For the past three days, I've been sleeping in and feeling more tired than usual. I hadn't been having too many negative thoughts, was fighting them off pretty well, and then a few hours ago - BAM.

I felt a wave of darkness spread through my body. I feel low, down, dipping.. I know that if I don't do something soon, I'll start spiraling, first crying and then hating myself and locking myself away and fighting suicidal thoughts.

I don't want to go down that road. While I'm still okay enough, does anyone have any suggestions to prevent myself from spiraling downward?

Page your pdoc first thing in the morning and get seen. Insist on being seen ASAP. I usually set up small things to anticipate, like ordering a few small items online so I can anticipate their arival.

Reach out to your support friends and relatives. Tell the people who care about you the most exactly how you are feeling and follow constructive advice. Do not isolate.

Keep posting here. Come join the chat room. PM me as needed.

Good luck,

Drink lots of water. The fatigue might be a sign you have some sort of infection. The body and mind are very connected. Best wishes.

Do the exact opposite of what you want to do .. Go to bed sleep and get up make your bed and don't go back until its bedtime again.

Exercise, yep its hell to make yourself do .. But a brisk walk is better than keeping the couch warm.

Eat bright veggies, Avoid carbs they will tank your mood.

As advised call your Pdoc in the Am.

Kick claw and fight like hell to stay outta the gutter. Good luck

I'd add to those suggestions to write. It doesn't have to be to anyone, but just start letting out those feeling by scribbling them down, typing them out. I find that when I start to crash my thoughts start going all over the place, and the further they go the faster they go and the less sense they make. By slowing my brain enough to write coherently, I can at least slow the thoughts down. And writing helps me organize the thoughts, helping me make sense of what I am feeling and perhaps why. Finally, it is for me a means of releasing those feelings in a constructive way.
