Sesily's recent post about triggers inspired this one. Rank your top triggers (top 3, 5, 10, however many) by how likely they are to effect you.

Some possibilities:

Lack of sleep/interrupted sleep pattern
Interrupted daily routine
Travel
Stress/anxiety
Major life changes (new house, pregnancy, marriage, etc)
Personal conflict/arguments
Goal pursuit
Social stimulation (friends, opposite sex, etc)
Seasonal changes
Hormonal changes
Alcohol/drugs
And so on....
Thanks for this!

And I discovered that my castles stand

Over-stimulation (like heavy schedule/marathon grading/time-consuming and focus-required activities)

Lack of sleep

Life stressors (not necessarily directly about me - can be my kids or husband)

All three I've learned to manage more deliberately and stay proactive about which has helped immensely. I'm less likely to just let these things happen to me like I used to which helps. If I can see them coming, I can manage them. If I can't see them coming, it's a bigger challenge, but I do have plans of action that keep their impact down a bit.

Severe life stressors, including money problems and situations I cannot control (like my husband who's in the process of dying of cancer)
Seasonal changes (spring/fall)
Disrupted sleep patterns (I pray I don't get manic on this Caribbean cruise I'm going on in December!)
Overstimulation (too many people in too small a space talking too loudly, etc.)
Conflict (e.g. family arguments)

* Combination of several events: I gave a huge sum of money to a "contractor" who then promptly quit working and left my bathroom 75% unfinished / undone and my kitchen 50% unfinished WHICH LED TO 36 hrs with essentially no sleep
* Loss of a really good job
* Move from my long term home to a rental
* Husband/boyfriend "pulling back" sharply and/or unexpectedly or him truly "breaking up" with me
* Being involved with two men at the same time, even if one is long-distance (do not even see him)
* Probably not exercising for a week or so but I have never allowed that to happen
