So I was in a super dark place last night. Some of you may have noticed. Anyway, I'm not going to ruminate on that right now. I ended up back at my pdoc's office today & talked to her nurse... again... because she wasn't in her office. I had major diarrhea of the mouth, more so than I have in a loooooong time. The nurse called my pdoc's personal phone with me sitting right there. She got a final answer & called in a prescription for 50 mg of Seroquel. She said to start that tonight along with my Risperdal. She said to give it until Monday to see if this works. If I don't start feeling better (i.e. stabilizing) then call or visit her office again & at that time, we'll have to consider IP. But.... I feel validated that we're trying the Seroquel first. I've been on it before & it helped. Here's to hoping it gets better!

For me, Seroquel seems to knock it down a notch and you will hopefully sleep and give your mind and body a rest. Hope you feel better.

Well last night was my first dose. It worked like a charm! I know they told me it wouldn't necessarily work overnight BUT.....I have a very sensitive system to different drugs & already, I slept through the night for the first time in 3 weeks & my mind is not racing anymore. So, despite what they said about it working overnight, I think it may actually be doing just that. I feel better already & I hope this is the Seroquel doing that for me.

Seroquel works immediately for me! I'm glad it did for you, too. Of course, I take a much bigger dose...
