does anyone else experience this? i'm in philadelphia and today is much warmer, not super sunny, but not bitter cold. this type of early-spring-ish weather is normally associated with mixed episodes for me. it throws me off when it's not supposed to be this warm (NE USA is not like this in feb.)
it's almost like it reminds me of past mixed symptoms in this kind of weather, thus i'm irritated with it.
i get this way in the winter too a bit.

I'm in MA so weather is a huge thing for me too
Wht usually happens is ill hit the blackest of depression then come spring go either mixed or a mixed like mania.. Most my hospitalization happen about March/April
My psychotic break was in that time frame too

But I'm feeling good right now with this good weather. Hope you feel better

Yeah winters are depressions and spring and summer for me are hypo mania and then by late July- August full blown manic. It was sunny here for a couple of days it felt so good. Now back to dark skies. On meds now though I don't go into full blown manias.

Yeah I've always wondered if it's a seasonal thing or a brain chemistry thing. I tend to get depressed in winter and then hypomanic/manic in the early spring. Back on meds now so hopefully mania wont be an issue this year.

I am in Ocean County N.J. not to far away from you.
The weather has been strange but I am glad its not cold.
The winter is always tough for me.
I feel so much better in the spring and summer.

Im in Alaska n I get cabin fever cuz its cold n dark. It definitley affects my moods. If its gloomy outside I feel sad n have no energy at all. When sunny I feel ok but cuz I have Fibromyalgia the cold effects my muscles so if sunny but cold I try not to b outside or I just overdress.

Summer always triggers me into depression. I don't know why. I love the sunshine and hot weather. But I had a really bad summer three years ago and now the smell of summer always reminds me of that time. Spring is my favorite. I'm enjoying this warm weather (I'm in nj too). It reminds me that winter will always end.

Fall always brings the worst manic and mixed episodes for me, and spring usually generally instability, but summers and winters are usually uneventful for my moods.

I get hypomanic in the early Spring. It lasts about four months. By Canada Day, July 1st, i am usually all crashed out. I spend the rest of the year in depression. I wish my meds did a better job for me. They help about 50% and i'm grateful for that but i still have to plan my life around these d*mn mood swings. Luckily our sexy new Prime Minister is pro mental health.
Thanks for this!

I live in Michigan and I usually go through a depressive episode every January through February. Right now we are having spring like weather too. I'm going through a really weird episode. I was depressed for over a month and then the past couple of weeks I've been bouncing up and then going low. It's not too bad yet, but the weather does affect me.

Sounds like me as well. I also hate when it gets really hot. I like about 18-20 with no humidity. Wind is also helpful

I seem to go full blown manic in the spring/summer and in fall I tend to fall into a mixed episode to depression.
