So I told my pdoc about my chronic fatigue problems. My labs are all fine. Hormones and thyroid all good. So she gave me wellbutrin. I've been on it before and quit right away but I can't remember why so I'm giving it another try. It might of put me in a mixed state but maybe taking it along with my stabilizer will help? I'm a bit scared really.

Has anyone else found wellbitrin to be stimulating in the morn? Does it help? She started me on 150mg. It probably won't be enough because my tolerance is like a horse.

Any thoughts on this are welcomed and appreciated!

Trileptal 600mg BID
Buspar 45mg
Seroquel 150-300mg for sleep
Ativan 1mg PRN
Vyvanse 70mg
Risperdal 4-6mg PRN

I don't get msgs unless the other person using tapatalk app!

Wellbutrin pushed me over to the edge of manic. I was irritable and somewhat violent.

I hope it works for you.

im on 300mg and love it. if i wasnt on it now id be so tired because im tired as it is on 300mg.

it definitely stimulates me. makes me focus well. motivates me.

it can make me pretty intense though.

when i was on only seroquel, people used to warn their friends behind my back that i was "intense". so i can only imagine what people think now that im on wellbutrin only..

oh and some people get anxiety on it i think maybe thats why you stopped?

some people get rashes. i did my first time but i liked it so much that i tried again

i live for the rush. i need it.. i cant be flat, because then my "life is meaningless" is all too apparent. I have strong drives and a lot to give, and i'd like to focus that energy in the correct direction.. to progress my life. as opposed to sitting at home and planning rediculous adventures to stimulate myself

I was on it for depression and it worked well for awhile, then like all ad it stopped working for me. I would take it all at night bc I can never remember to take meds in the am so I guess it wasn't too stimulating bc I don't remember being kept awake on it. But since it helped my depression it also helped fatigue.

Yes yes yes yes!!! I was constantly fatigued. Always complaining to the doctor. Existing off of energy drinks and soda. I was prescribed Wellbutrin and I dropped five pounds shortly after because I stopped drinking sodas everyday. I think it works perfectly. But I think it also can depend on your dosage and which formulation. XL kept up at night, but switching to SR helped with that. I've heard on here that it makes some people manic, but I haven't had that problem. Perfect compliment to my Trileptal in my opinion.

Good to hear it went with your trileptal because I'm on trileptal too. I THINK wellbutrin may have made me dysphoric before but I'm hoping my trileptal can keep me grounded. I'm excited but nervous to take it tomorrow. I can't wait. I just want to stop nodding out on the job and living off of coffee and energy drinks that tear my stomach up!

Trileptal 600mg BID
Buspar 45mg
Seroquel 150-300mg for sleep
Ativan 1mg PRN
Vyvanse 70mg
Risperdal 4-6mg PRN

Good luck!! 300mgs SR works for me. Started at 150mgsXL, it didn't work but just kept me up at night. Went to 200mgs SR and that helped. But still not quite. Double to 400mgs and ended up feeling zombie like. 300mgs seems to be the sweet spot.

I started at 150 MG less than a month ago and felt it working right away! I was taking 2 naps a day and needing them badly. Now I only take 1 nap and some days none at all. I look forward to see what happens when I increase the dose.
Thanks for this!

Ugh I just looked at my script bottle and she gave me XL's which from what I understand is a time released? So I chewed it in half a because I was hoping for the SRs. I should of been more clear with her. I also have 200sr handy from my previous try so I might go up in a wk or so on my own. I warned her that I have the tolerance of a horse!

Update: how long until this starts to work? I fell asleep after I took it lol. I think I need a higher dose.

Seroquel 150-300mg for sleep
Ativan 1mg PRN
Vyvanse 70mg
Risperdal 4-6mg PRN

I take 300mg XL and I noticed a difference within days (less than a week). It honestly felt like it popped me right out of depression. I suddenly felt so much better, less depressed, more motivated, more energetic...but nothing over the top. I went from needing coffee and a 2-3 hour nap daily to coffee only on days after not sleeping well, and having to force myself to nap if I'm tired. Also, I can't nap for more than an hour and a half even if I try. So for me, it's stimulating, but as long as I take it by 11am my sleep isn't affected. But if I forget and it's past 11, I don't take it so I won't be up all night.

I've taken Wellbutrin for years and don't find it particularly "activating." It's not sedating though which is good.
