I am very sensitive to meds ... very small changes can have a profound impact on me ... I had raised my trazadone to theraputic levels and was feeling slightly hypo ... in other words feeling great ... like my old self ...
but then I got very dizzy ... lowered the trazadone .. went away ... then my blood pressure spiked ... was the trazadone ... by trial and error I have found my anxiety med does also ... I can lower one and raise the other and be ok ... so now my decision ... be happy or be anxious ... I have settled for anxiety free ... but it sure felt good to be happy again ... don't you just love this sh** ... I wonder sometimes if it is really worth it to be so dependent on these little tiny pills ... but the wife says take them ... so I guess I will .... just too tired to care or fight any more .... Tigger ... ps: sometimes I wonder why I ever left "my little Korean" ... but that's a different story ... relax , not going there ... |

In my experience, you can lower anxiety without meds only if it doesn't change your mood. You might be trapped in a vicious circle. You may escape it using meds, but you should then work on the anxiety and/or mood changes, I'd say, so you don't need them anymore.

The Skeezyks got off psych med's a few months back... mostly for financial reasons. I'm mostly glad. Sometimes I think I should probably go back on. But my wife doesn't try to influence me either way. And whenever I think about going back on, I then think about what it would cost & change my mind.

Do you do therapy? CBT is good for anxiety and perhaps you could be less dependent on meds.

I ask for her to keep me informed of my moods ... after all she see's me as I am , not how I "think" I am ... inside looking out and all that stuff ...
I value her opinion above all others ... after all she see's me every day and knows me probabily better than I know myself ... 30 plus years will do that ... after all she has more at stake than anyone else to have me stable and productive ... I could not even imagine my life without her ... Tigger ... |

I have nothing of value to say but I just want you to know I'm thinking of you and rooting for you!
