I am going through a rough depression for months. What I have been noticing for some weeks now is that daily I am up and down. I can feel what you might call normal? but then I will get this intense feeling and I suddenly feel very low. At times I feel like I want to give up the feelings are so strong. This happens numerous times throughout the day. It make me feel teary eyed but then I am unable to cry fully. I also get a strong intense emotional feeling in my stomach when my mood changes. I am not sure if it's anxiety or is the feeling causing me to get anxious. I am also not sleeping very well at night and becoming a bit agitated. I am concerned that this might lead to my mood elevating. I am trying not to get stressed but with all this going on it's proving very difficult.

This up and down is driving me crazy , I am bad enough as it is I am just so worn out and am seeing pdoc tomorrow to change meds. Wondering also could it be the medication making me feel those emotions so often during day.

I have only been recently dx with bipolar 1 so any info much appreciated. I hope i am explaining myself correctly and you all can maybe understand what it is or could be.

You say your diagnosis is recent. How long have you been on your meds. It takes 6-8wks for most to take a noticabe effect.

That was me a few months ago. I was up, I was down, I was all around town!
I couldn't take it either and was constantly bothering my pdoc to help me, do something, take me off of this, change that dose, etc. I am now feeling as though I have settled down. There are rocky points as meds get adjusted, the best advice I have for now is to hang in there and be patient with the process. It's difficult and easier said than done, but that's how I personally look at it. Take care

I was hospitalized in nov 15 with elevated mood. Was dx then with Bipolar1 was give olanzapine but had serious reaction, then Abilify but lost control over bladder. Then seroquel stayed on that for a month but again side effects, got thrush in my tongue mouth, was to help me sleep didnt work, I felt high as in street drugs high and wanted to get more high. Up all night bouncing around.

Now on risperdal thrush back on my tongue/mouth, also not getting much sleep, back on sleeping tablet. On them about a month now, but have racing thoughts suicide ideations, terrible depression not functioning daily. All on top of the above.

Seeing pdoc tomorrow.
