Yes I have two cats. They make me smile everyday.
When was the last time you weren't constipated because of psych meds?

Well, I've been on psych meds almost 19 years.....

Although really I had meds in place that were controlling the constipation pretty well until I went on Clozaril so I guess 4-5 months ago

do you take benzos and if you do does that worry you?

Have had a hard time sleeping since I was a kid. Even with the meds I'm on now I have nights I don't sleep.

Do you go to any support groups ( IRL or online)other than here at PC?

Not BP support or any other mental illness groups, but I do go to an addiction support group.

What is the best BP book (fiction or non-fiction) that you have read?

Not too sure, either running across a race course topless or trying to off myself.

Both which happened around age 15.

Question: What has Bipolar taught you about yourself?

That I am not invincible or invisible.... I am only human and like everyone else I get sick but my sick is in my head...... I am fortunate to never be really ill physically

Question: Do you have friends who are mentally ill? If so is it a healthy relationship, if you don't have friend's who are ill would you like someone who is mentally ill to be your friend?

I have a friend who is not dx but she is definitely bipolar, sometimes she is very triggering for me....she will literally flip switches in the course of a conversation....fine one minute then everyone is doing her wrong the next. She is very supportive of me though and I will never not support her back!!
What's the worst side effect you've ever had

When I would be hypo and take my son to this big park here and we would feed the ducks and explore the park for hours. Then we'd go to this huge bookstore and look at books and I'd get a coffee and he'd get hot chocolate and I'd buy him a couple of books he really liked. We'd discuss the importance of reading. Then we'd go to this really good pizza place and have pizza and I'd have their salad bar. It's a fabulous salad bar. And we'd talk and talk. Then on the way home we'd stop at toys r us and I'd get him a couple toys. We'd have so much fun on those days. I would also bake more. He loved it!

Do holidays stress you out?

Christmas is usually the worst because it reminds me of the not so good times as a kid when my biological father was never around.

Are there any specific colors that are considered a trigger or warning for you?

I have no trigger colors, but I do get sensitive to blood in movies. The redder the blood, the worse my reaction.

Do you consider yourself more weird than average?
