Not well

Do you think that mental health treatment under a Trump rule would deteriorate or be better?

Lost count years ago and that doesn't include the many combinations of the same meds

Do you worry about grandkids becoming bipolar?

Worst time of day would be either morning or night (can't pick one).

Worst BP med you've been on hands down?

That would be depakote....so sick my GP took me off after I told her my pdoc refused to, she called the pdoc and said it was killing me and the pdoc told her it was all in my heads!

What is the best advice you've ever been given for dealing with symptoms? Did ya take the advice at the time or did ya learn after blundering about?

The best advice was given to me by my pdoc. Shortly after he diagnosed me, he said, "Stress is the killer for bipolar disorder." That statement remains with me to manage my stress levels the best I can for stability.
Thanks for this!

I'll answer the second question: blundering would imply being unable to do what you want to do, so my manias weren't blundering, just doing, denying there was a problem. Maybe the best advice I got was to not seek treatment. It made me accept treatment while staying cautious of the negative effects.

Do you think BP treatment has caused any negative effects for you, other than med side-effects?

No, I think it has helped more than anything. My therapist has been treating me (as well as psychiatrists) for nearly ten years. It has definitely helped although I do relapse into mania sometimes.

Do you feel more one pole than the other? Depression vs. Mania?

I wish I could say yes, but I did just get over a long depressive episode. But I'm proactive about my treatment and try and limit the impact to my life as small as possible.

Do you have a preference between therapy or meds?

End of the EU, (too much and dehumanising) gründlichkeit, ordentlichkeit and angezeigtkeit. End of neoliberalism.

Do you think knowing your place is important?

3 dogs. A German Sheperd and 2 cockapoos. They help when I'm depressed.

Do you have trouble remembering to take your meds?

No. I have trouble convincing myself to take meds.

What is the most number of meds you have been on at once? (Non BP meds count too)

Not so much remembering as in not wanting to take them.

Question: Do you think you no longer have the diagnosis of Bipolar 1 or Bipolar 2 as your symptoms are mellower or nonexistent?

Ability to make young and old people run away from me once they learn of my bipolar. It's like a super power.

Do you have any self soothing behaviors?
