Holy cow! Not a good idea when you are hypo-manic! I'm like ready to buzz to outer space! I'm humming like a mad woman! I had an AA meeting and I barely could keep still. I had therapy this morning too and she could tell I'm hypo-manic. I feel like I could talk non-stop! I have no one to talk in person. Husband is in meetings all day. So, I thought I would come here and type in a manic style! Ha!

Chat away. Vertigo is a people's person, from what I understand.

You can always take some Xanax if you're afraid of doing something impulsive or coming across as too hyper.

Sounds like you're having a good time, though. Enjoy the hypomania while it lasts.

Yes mellow out and not crash into a terrible dark depression that I recently had. Fingers crossed!

I just took 4 Xanax to try to bring me down. The problem when I'm hypo-manic is that I feel like I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread and that I'm a genius. I'm fabulous and smarter than anyone (not true, just the manic thoughts saying that). I have to be careful not to drink because that is my "go to" to self medicate. I always think this time will be different, but the consequences are horrendous. It's like my manic mind doesn't believe it. It tell me this time will be different and that's ********e.

I can't drink while manic either, and I used to get the "this time will be different" thoughts too. It's smart of you to stay away from the booze.

I think I'm a genius when manic too. sometimes I am smarter/think quicker. I can act like a downright jackazz because of it too.

You've got me craving starbucks right now. I'm super tired and it might be just what I need. Was this post an advertisement in disguise?

Yeah. I HAVE TO STAY AWAY FROM THE BOOZE! The last couple of times I drank when manic did not turn out well at all! No advertisement, but it was seriously good but I don't need to have it that strong when I'm manic

Haha coffee never really affected me until I started to show major signs of mania (at around the age of 18 or 19). I have to be careful because when not on meds and not manic, coffee will shoot me into a major manic episode.

Four Xanax is a lot! You ok? I take Benzos, too. Not judging. Just want to see if you are feeling ok.

Well, (4) .5 Xanax. Not a massive dosage. It did help take the edge off, but that was it! That is how strong that coffee is! I literally couldn't sit still. My DH and I went to Starbucks yesterday and he told me no more cold brew! He got home from work the day I wrote the post and was like, "What the Hell?!?". LOL I was bouncing off the walls. I'm starting to come down though. I have therapy again tomorrow.

Seriously, that stuff is crazy strong!!! Thanks for asking about me!
