I hate filling out paperwork for the new clinic. I transferred my records today. I feel crazy. I filled out my husbands paperwork too. He's being an *** about filling it out. He doesn't look as crazy. On paper it looks like I need IP (but I don't) I checked off all the "little" issues Paranoia, hallucination, irrational fears, aggravation... you know yesterday. There not really bothersome but they're there.

We'll find out in 9 days what they say. Lucky next week Miguel will be gone helping his cousin. I hope the meeting goes well and I don't scare off my new T like I did my last T. Last T didn't see me in episode (yeah, I've had small blips) and my file scared her away. I feel bad about that.

Hope you are doing well. Re: scaring off your T - that's not a reflection of you Best to know if someone will be there through the rough times, someone who isn't afraid of the less-pretty expressions of mental illness.

Feel cinema really does m.i. some disservice - it's either beautiful people with pained expressions, or the rough hobo killer, yelling obscenities. M.I. can be messy and frustrating, the meds can make you fat, bald, and zitty (my brief experience with one antipsych gave me a bald patch like Ben Franklin and a fat ***** to match! Actually had a psychology professor say that if the class wanted an accurate depiction of Borderline disorder, watch "Fatal Attraction"! (??!!??)

anyway, pulling way off topic- good on you for taking care of yourself to get the help you need.

Best,

Bolivar

It can be very tough to attend to this topic with paperwork, to see our own symptoms, diagnoses, etc.

It sounds like it's raising your anxiety today?

I agree. If your last therapist was timid, it's best she dropped out and it is more a reflection of her perception of her own limitations. Nothing to do with you.

I hope your paper work is done and you can "change channels?"
How about some music or something else you enjoy and a total change in where you have your focus?

I have been working on this same thing for the afternoon/evening -- changing my focus and my mood.

I'd LOVE to have some fun before the day is done and it's up to me to create my own fun!

My paperwork is done but I keep harping on it. We'll see on Wednesday what they say. Anxiety has been getting to me. I hate this. I know it's best for me but it sucks. I'm trying to focus on other things but I keep thinking about this, the accident or "am I really that ****ed up?" for a T to be scared of me.

MIGUEL'SMOM ))))))

Peace, Comfort, Joy!

It's fine to process things just as you are. If you need to have more feeling time about the whole process, it's best to go through the feelings. In time, you will shift your focus. When you are ready.

Self-compassion truly helps with healing.
