So I just saw my pdoc. He said my problems were psychosis and depression. He said the hospital would be good but I didn't necessarily need it? He said I have my mom to be watching over me and everything...which I really don't because she's either working or sleeping. Also that I seemed stable enough. I even put in my notes that I'm good at hiding my symptoms!!! Plus I even dressed down. So another doctor dismissed me. The only change he made this time was upping my seroquel... which I didn't necessarily want. Sigh. I just want to feel better and for the voices and hallucinations to stop.

I'm sorry it went that way but you don't need your pdoc's permission to go to the hospital. I know you have transportation issues but if you can get to an er you can just go in yourself, although if you're not actively suicidal with a plan they may not admit you. I'm sorry all he did was up the seroquel, it doesn't seem to be working at all. He should have changed it to something else. Hopefully you will get relief soon.

I only recommend this as an option when you can't get in to see your pdoc and have no transportation to the hospital, but you can call an ambulance yourself to take you to the ER if necessary if you're feeling suicidal and have no other option. I have done this before and although it doesn't speed up the hospital wait time, it'll get you there. (An ambulance ride costs $45 where I live, not sure what it's like where you are).
As wildflowerchild25 said though, they may not admit you if you're only having thoughts without a plan and intent to carry through, so I'd only recommend the ambulance if you're 100% sure that you need to be hospitalized. Good luck! ![]() |

I think I can hold off on the hospital for now. But I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thank you!

$1000!!!! Can you get ambulance insurance in the US? Here in Aus it is part of my health insurance so it costs me nothing.
Hope the extra Sequel helps.
