So I finally got my seroquel after 10 days. But this time I didn't get seroquel xr? They gave me the generic! Apparently it was all they had. I read that the generic doesn't help with sleep? Or maybe I just read some bad reviews. Not sure. Which sucks because I can't sleep without it. I haven't slept in days.

Bad news is they still don't have my lithium or Zoloft ... it's been days...

They can't change the script on their own. Did they get the ok from pdoc's office? If the script said xr they have to give you xr unless pdoc ok'd the change. Seriously you need to have someone call pdocs office and verify what the script was for and if it was xr raise holy hell until you get the script you were prescribed. In fact if they did change the script on their own I find who to file a complaint with and do it ASAP.

I guess they would have? Because as far as I know he prescribed me xr, unless he didn't tell me he changed it...which he normally does.

Have someone call pdocs office TOMORROW! You need to know if this is the script FOR SURE. This is your health. Verify what the script was for and if the pharmacy called to give something else.

Eh...never mind. My mom just yelled at me for asking her to call. She said it's just the exact same thing but generic...

Why can't you call yourself ?

Hello Pdoc office staff , am I supposed to take XR or straight? Can you confirm the dosage?

There is a difference between XR and straight seroquel.

What is your dose of this prescription?? Straight seroquel is like 25mg and going up to 100 or so. The XR usually 50mg and up up per night .

Typically the vast majority of people have same help with brand or generic. Unless they are specifically allergic to a filler in the med , filler which is something all meds brand or not have.

I have EXTREME anxiety over everything lol phone calls specifically. I always have my mom call and have only called once recently mostly because I knew they wouldn't be there. If I can get the courage somehow I'll call.

My dose is 400mg.

I'm worried about the sleeping situation though.

Immediate release Seroquel is very sedating. XR was formulated to not be as sedating.

I would really call and ask, but I can understand. I'm always anxious about making phone calls.

But yeah, normal seroquel is very sedating.

This ^^^^ is a exactly the reason YOU need to bust through your anxiety and advocate for yourself.

Don't think about it , just pick up the phone and be done with it.

It will help you feel empowered.

Anxiety sucks, everyone I know on PC has it myself included....

I'm sure Bipolar is making you sad, lost even.
Maybe you should get mad at Bipolar ! Why? Because getting mad at Bipolar will allow you to take more control over your situation.

Good luck

I absolutely hate making phone calls!

And that's something I didn't know, thank you!

It'll be really hard. I tend to stutter and take unnecessary pauses when I try to make phone calls. I'll try...tomorrow if he's there.

If I could do it I would feel good about myself.

I am mad..very. It's ruining my life. It'll take baby steps for me. But I will try to call tomorrow.

When you get better look into SSI. You really need better medical coverage.

I agree normal Seroquel is much more sedating. XR calms me but doest always make me sleep. What dose have you been given? Have you tried it yet? Hope you can get the right med asap.

That's odd! XR always made me sleepy. XR was to be taken with dinner and the generic says bedtime, so I haven't tried it yet. My dose is 400mg.

400mg of fast release would knock me out for 12 hours, and quickly. It is also an extremely high fast release dose. Most people take 25 -200mg. I was on 300mg of fast release Seroqual a few years ago. I took it half an hour before I wanted to be asleep as if I took it earlier I found being able to so simple things like brushing my teeth, or walking up a few stairs to my bed, impossible as I was so out of it. I soon went off Seroquel as it gave me restless legs and wasn't helping me anyway.

Write down the questions you want to ask the office and how
You will say it so you won't feel lost when they answer the phone. A script of sorts. Write down the answer so you'll remember

I did and it knocked me out hard. First I fell asleep on the couch before I even made it to my room lol. I took it at 10 and didn't wake up until 11am. It was nice to finally get some sleep.
