Had a meeting with HR about "reasonable accommodations" at work today. They have to talk my managers to see what can be done. All I really want is time to catch up to where I should be. I don't know why they expect me to just jump in to a new position full time and be proficient after being out for two and a half months and not doing this portion of my job that I haven't done in over a year.

Well I made the request so that it doesn't look like I'm not working since my productivity is nowhere near what it should be. I had my pdoc write a letter so there is a reason for me not being as productive as I was before I left on short term disability.

Did two art pieces in Photoshop and wrote three poems. I need to fix my printer because it's adding a blue-green cast on the prints. Went to T this morning and managed to get through the whole session. Didn't have anxiety until later this afternoon, after h came home from his pdoc visit. Tried to nap but couldn't. He's taking a nap now and I'll be starting dinner soon.

Peppermint chocolate? I thought prices for Starbucks were universal but I forgot about taxes.

I have been getting sugar free versions of drinks lately. Like a latte with sugar-free vanilla syrup. No, it doesn't taste the same, but it cuts the calories. At least that's my theory! Today I had a regular latte without flavor. Takes a bit to get used to, but still had the espresso.

Hey all, I figured I'd check in with you guys. I just got off work. It was kind of slow for the most part. About to have dinner. Might order a pizza, IDK. So, I have serious problem. I am almost out of medication and I have an appointment tomorrow. But the problem is I have to work. Do you think that my psychiatrist will be able to take my appointment late tomorrow? I hope he does. I do not want to to have to go for a while without any medication.

I am not very observant or in tune with my body or illness. I finally figured out that I must be hypomanic with all of this increased drinking and internet usage. I am getting ready to take a trip solo without my hubby to florida with my family. I asked my sister tonight if she would help me if I get manic. She said she would help me.

Good work noticing you are hypomanic and may need support when you are on holidays without your hubby. Does your sister know the signs and symptoms of mania and how to best keep you safe? Hopefully you won't need help but it is a great idea to have it in place. Try to sleep at least 6 hours or more if possible and try not to let the drinking escalate any further. Most importantly, have a great time! Keep us posted.

Started back at university yesterday and, AGHHH!!!(minor freakout), I have so much work to do in the next four months. My physical health has taken a big dive in the last week, especially since Saturday, so I am a little worried about my stamina to keep up with the workload. Hopefully the worst will pass in the next week or so and I will start to feel better. On the plus side the coarse work seems interesting so I am motivated to get into it.

Mentally I am still a bit off too. Can't quite figure out what is going on. At times I am despairing and very low, other times racing thoughts, motivation and the sensation of speeding through the world in my mind. Sometimes it feels scary, other times thrilling. Overall it is fairly mild so hopefully it will pass. Seeing my T tomorrow and new pdoc in 8 days so will be interested in what they have to say.

your attitude in how you are functioning in life will depend greatly how they think you are doing.
How do you think you are doing?

I am not quite sure. Most of the time I think I am coping well with the flare-up in pain and fatigue right when my work-load increases dramatically but sometimes I feel I am spinning out of control. My attitude is generally positive but again the waves of despair and un-reality kind of unsettle me at times. Generally get the feeling I am headed for a precipice. However, with the support I have and my new pdoc totally re-evaluating everything I should get through. Maybe a med overhaul is what I need.
