Currently sitting in the parking lot at my pdocs office for an emergency appointment with him. Just when I thought I was doing ok after being discharged from the hospital the depression kicked into full gear again. I'll be damned if I'm going back to the hospital, especially this soon after discharge. I hate the little voices in my head telling me I'm no good and I'm a failure. I'm just glad my pdoc was able to get me in to see him today instead of having to wait until my next scheduled appointment on the 23rd.
Here goes nothing *fingers crossed*

This exact same thing happened to me at the end of 2015. I was discharged, then a month later the depressive symptoms came back and my moods were everywhere. So I really hope you are able to resolve your problems with your pdoc sooner rather than later. Good luck and take care of yourself.

Thank God for a pdoc who listens. He immediately knew what to say when I walked into his office 'no, I'm not sending you to the hospital'. He's titrating me up on Wellbutrin again to see if that really did make a difference. I'll see him again for my scheduled appointment on the 23rd. In the meantime my t and I are supposed to start dbt I think. I'll see her again on Thursday. I just wish I knew what else to say. I always seems to get tongue tied when I'm there and walk out feeling as if I missed something.

Taking notes to your appointments is the answer. Even if it's just a couple minutes in the waiting room, I always try to lay out things that are on my mind. When you only have a brief period of time to talk things over, it's really easy to get derailed by something else and either forget what you wanted to address or run out of time.

Just take a notebook with you to your appointment. When you're sitting in the waiting room, take three minutes to remember what you can and write down a word or two for each thing that comes to mind. It doesn't have to be a letter or a journal, but it's something to glance at while you're in the room talking. Believe me, the investment pays off big time.
I just take my work notebook and jot a few cryptic things that would mean nothing to anyone else. If I have med questions, I write an abbreviation for the med and the question I have. Again, it's worth the time spent even if it's only a couple minutes.
