hello all , don't actually have bi-polar ; got depression and ptsd.
need information regarding how to cope with mild mania been told this is my low mood levelling out although it's v. difficult to deal with after having low mood for such a long time.
anxiety, concentration bad, insomnia ; anyone have coping skills i could use ?
thought it made sense to ask opinion of guys on bi-polar forum as you gotta deal with this which is unusual for me.
thanks
kuff.

My advice is to keep a stable daily routine no matter what. My routine as an example, please don't mock
Out of bed at 8. Oatmeal at 9. Eggs at 13. Dinner at 17. Bread at 2200. Back to bed 12.

More than a few folks hold that bipolar has a lot to do with circadian rythms getting wonked up. You can consciously choose to fight several of them to lock them back into pattern. sleep schedules, eating times, scheduled afternoon walk, etc. Try to get the full 8 hours of sleep especially. Look into sleep hygiene.

That said... it eventually overwhelms many. I lasted a while with a very low stress, reclusive lifestyle, but now... I'm road kill without a stabilizer. And I'm ok with that.

I'll put in another vote for good regular schedules. I'm in bed between 9-10, up at 6:30, and eat regular meals. When I get off this schedule, my moods get effed up.
