would some one talk to me? I am not well. I am not well
Today I returned from a vacation with my family in florida.
We had a wonderful time.
I snacked all day then had a big dinner.
Now, I feel 9 months pregnant, so gasey. Took a large dose of liquid antiacid. no relief.
my twin and her husband had some sort of sickness and she said that she tried to not throw up but her husband did both were suffering and did not know it till the next morning. We all ate the same thing.
Here I am 24 hours after her.
I wonder if it is some weird virus thing?
Just took my temp, normal, heart rate is 100 beats per minutes which is normal.
I am feeling very disoriented.
Have been able to pass some gas and could not throw up when I tried.
I have been so up for a month now....
and had too much fun in florida...guess now am paying for it.

I wonder if this is mania? I have not been truly manic for years.

Jeff/hubby is out with his friends after a concert tonight.
I just took some zyprexa 15mg that I have for emergencies.
Can't hurt,
bizi

I find that belching on purpose, over and over again, makes me feel better when I'm gassy like that. I'm sorry you're not feeling well.

Sometimes eating something really plain, like a saltine cracker, can help. It absorbs some of the stomach acid, is what I tell myself. I don't know if that's really what happens but it helps me. Not as much as belching though!

It might just be the excitement of the vacation catching up with you. I know you were feeling borderline manic before you left. Did your sister comment on any unusual behavior?

I think it was good to take the Zyprexa just in case. When do you see your pdoc again?

Try not to drink anymore tonight. Mania and alcohol don't mix well. Does your Dr have an emergency number or do you have to wait until Monday? Take the zyprexa as needed. I say if you're not manic already you're heading there.

Hi Bizi. You have been hypomanic for a while now. Taking the Zyprexa is a good idea. What makes you think you are heading for full blown mania? Are you safe? Mania can be both exillerating and terrifying. When do you see your pdoc next? I know they have felt there isn't much more to do but perhaps there is, especially if you go manic. Try to do all the self help and calming exercises you know and try to sleep or at least rest for 7 hours a night. If you can wind back on the alcohol as it can drive the mania.

Take care. You mean a lot to us all. PM me anytime.

Thank you.....got off of the phone with my brother in law, he called me back. My husband came home just now and I told him to read this thread.

He doesn't think I am manic.

I know that I am.

do you know what the max dose of zyprexa is?

Max dose of Zyprexa is 30mg a day. I have been on it before for about 2 weeks before changing meds. Is the 15mg not helping?

Thinking of you and hoping you feel better. I think it is really hard to sort out where you are bipolarly (my own word) when you are physically not well and have been drinking.

I think I'm too late on this but for future reference PLEASE do not mix klonopin and alcohol! Very dangerous! I'm sure you've been doing it for a long time but it's just not a good idea, you never know what could happen. I don't want anything to happen to you!

I'm sure my husband didn't think he was going to die when he took drugs that night because he'd taken drugs thousands of times before but that night his body couldn't take it. Klonopin and alcohol is just not a good combo.

Thank you for your kind words of support.
I am better, zyprexa helped last night.
I slept well and am not feeling 100%, yet I am glad that I have it for emergencies like this.
I am manic.
I worked today, a couple from out of town so about a 45 minute drive there and back, so I was gone 3 1/2 hours.
Am drinking a good cup of coffee, tastes so good.
Then Jeff and I will rake some leaves.
He suggested we go to bone fish grill for dinner which sounds great. lillys chicken for me.
I love goat cheese!
Last night, I was able to talk with my brother in law and then jeff came home, I could not get a hold of him...his phone was dead.

I took 2mg of klonipin to sleep last night.
I know I need a medication change and need to stop drinking, it triggered the mania switch.

I'm glad you got sleep...it's so important right now. More than 1 drink nightly will have negative effects on your quality of sleep. Even if you think you sleep well after drinking, it likely isn't of good quality and that will really impact the upswing. Can you describe what symptoms you are experiencing which lead you to conclude you are manic? If it's too personal, I understand. I'm glad you have a plan to stay busy in productive ways. I'm glad Jeff is there to support you through this. We are here also. (((More hugs)))
