I've been on a lot of the older antidepressants and had bad side effects. Has anyone taken any newer ones?

I've tried many ADs. They don't do **** for me. Not a one of them has even touched my depression. The newest one I tried was brintellix, which I think they changed the name to trintellix. Nothing. No difference at all.

So I had to go old school with an maoi. Works much better for me, no side effects, no dietary restrictions at the low dose I'm on. Although the one I take is actually relatively new (2006).

I've tried Saphris, Rexaulti and Abilify. I did well on Saphris. Rexaulti worked for a while then quit and no change with Abilify. No side effects for me.

I was on Viibryd when I was last IP. Went off of it because it wound me up.

Latuda is in the AAP category; yet, is used for bipolar depression.
I have had mixed results with Latuda.

I do not tolerate the newer SSRI and SNRI antidepressants.
I stick with bupropion and celexa.

WC

Edit: And, more recently, stimulants.

I'm on both Latuda and Trintellix. They are both working well for me. I normally cycle through depression in April. This year, I have had none. It's the first year I've been on Trintellix. I was on Wellbutrin for many years before and had many break through depressions while on it. It didn't seem like it was effective anymore and before that I had tried most of the other old ones. I felt like Trintellix was working 2 weeks after I started taking it. I take 20mg.
