What has helped best for you at managing anxiety/racing thoughts/always thinking of worst-case-scenario? I feel very distracted by these symptoms, and frankly, it sucks. What has been most effective for dealing with anxiety for you? I am desperately in need of tips.

Klonopin. Sorry I don't have any life-tips, but this pharmaceutical has stopped each of the symptoms you describe.

Actually one of your thinking of the worst symptoms can be helped by CBT. You could find a therapist to work on that, or use the excellent "Feeling Good Handbook"; I believe the author is Burns.

True, I take Xanax and Klonopin but still get panic attacks. Slowly counting your breathes with the inhale being one and the exhale being two. There is also a calm app that has been a huge help to me. Mindshift is good for anxiety and Virtual Toolbox gives you things to distract youself. Hope this helps.

Thank you.

I've been taking Xanax and Klonopin. Xanax is prescribed to me occasionally, and Klonopin is my "maintenance medication." Both help, but they aren't wiping out all of it. I know coping is just a fact of life, but I'm just so wound up lately. I took a Xanax today. It helped a little, but worrying is something that is a problem for me. My T wasn't helping that much anymore. She was more psychodynamic, and that style isn't gelling well with me. I'm in need of more techniques/maybe lifestyle changes. Lorazepam was okay too, but Klonopin and Xanax are a little bit more effective for me. Maybe I need a new T.

Grounding skills. Just Google them. Dbt skills. Praying and I'm not religious, but I pray to my mom and animal guides for protection and learning to live in the moment. Listening to calming music. My go to is Sara McLaughlin sp? And the cranberries. Having a good hard cry. Lighting candles and putting lavender oil on a cotton ball and smelling it. Remembering to breathe!

Hope some of these help. Hugs

Thank you. I love candles and for some reason fell back where I just stopped using them, but I think I should again. I need to learn how to slow down. I used to take baths sometimes, but I've been kind of agitated when I stay still...but maybe I should try that. Lavender oil sounds calming. I don't have any, but it definitely sounds worth buying. I will google some of the grounding skills too.
