Have you ever been close to completely losing it or know anyone who has lost it for good?

On multiple occasions I've felt like I was so close to completely losing it.
One time was when I actually had an experience, a vision. I saw into the future for about a week, but the visions ranged from the near distant future to far distant.
I saw the ending of a strong friendship I had at the time, my grandmothers death, and the details of the ending of a relationship I had. It was all very strange to see everything in detail. Kinda cool to have "the sight" but not when you see mostly disaster.

I've lost it pretty close to completely. Too paranoid to share details right now. I came out of it or I would not be here right now. I feel close to losing sing it again. Just one disaster away from it all. I've got a plan. It will crumble! I might just need to get drunk. I need to put on clothes to go to the store but none fit. Maybe a taxi. It always feels like forever even if it's not.

Yes. I'm pretty sure I've lost it completely in the past!

A long time ago with street drugs involved, which may or may not disqualify it.

I guess so.

I made some weird thread here once where I went completely psychotic. I "had to save the world" etc etc. Totally did not go to IP for that. (I refused to go.) Actually, have never been to IP, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I remember well your flights of fancy during a stimulant trial gone wrong. Glad you're feeling better than that, but sorry you're puking on a regular basis.

Wow blue how'd you bounce out of that without having to go IP? I've been IP I total of like 7-8 times and my last one was the worst! Try to avoid it at all costs.. best wishes

I'm not quite sure how much I was losing it but I found my purse in the frig one time and the mail in the freezer. I decided around that time I might be sicker then I thought and maybe should take some FMLA from work.

When I lost it pretty close to completely (but not as bad as some do) I thought I'd be stuck in that hell forever. I thought there was no way to ever come back from what I was experiencing. I did come out of it, changed but out. It's important to try to remember it's always possible to recover, no matter how bad things seem or feel at the time. It's a terrifying place to be and my heart goes out to anyone whose ever experienced it.
