You're not alone there. This is more common than you might think. Sometimes when my depression is really bad self care is like trying to run through waist high molasses.

I cooked some brown rice and black beans and ate some for lunch and supper. I so rarely cook that this is a miracle. Then again, when the weather gets cooler, I tend to use my crock pot a lot.

So I ate 3 meals
brushed my teeth
took a shower and washed and dried my hair
lay down with my heating pad on my back where it hurt, so it does not hurt anymore
took my meds when I should
sprayed insect spray where it was needed
read some devotionals
prayed a bit
did the dishes each time I ate
made sure I have a ride to church tomorrow
did a bit of cleaning
came here and shared my feelings and thoughts....

I feel like I could've done a lot more, but trying not to be too hard on myself. Very emotional earlier today that took the wind out of my sails.

I cleaned the apartment, went grocery shopping with my roommate and took a long nap.

Got up
Ate breakfast (a healthy one)
got dressed
brushed hair
read my Devotions and prayed
called someone for a friend who is not feeling well, my "good deed" for the day
came to a better frame of mind about something that has been bothering me
Drank my health beverage
And I slept pretty well last night, thank goodness!

I went to my therapy appt and didn't lie when my mind kept screaming not to tell her anything(although I did tell her not to talk to the pdoc about what I said). Normally that wouldn't be a big deal but I've been feeling very good lately and I'm scared they will bring me down again or worse, lock me up again.

I also went for a run with my dog! She is so happy that we are running again, she jumps around wagging her tail while I get ready, it's so cute.

Well, not much. I have a lot of anxiety right now and maybe depression.

I got dressed, fixed hair and makeup. Made the bed. Spent some time tidying the house.

I'll try to do more later.

In exercise today and every day we do this one where we hug ourselves and move our arms around in a kind of circle in front of our chest. I made a point of saying to myself when I did that, "I love myself." And I made a point of saying I love my Creator too! I say these things silently in my heart and soul.

I keep forgetting to put on my deodorant. YIKES! LOL... I noticed this while I was in exercise class today. No way to run to the ladies room and fix that at that moment. (I long ago figured out that I have to carry the stuff in my purse, because I so often forget to put it on. SIGH....

And what am I doing right now? Delaying eating supper. I should have been at the table 11 minutes ago. Bad me! I am on my way to kitchen now....

I took my meds, showered for the first time in a week, and ate healthy until around 4pm. I also went to therapy and to my pdoc. That's about all I can do in a day currently.
