Glad you managed and are doing all the right things to keep moving forward.

You are very strong !!!

Well I overdid my walking as I expected too... but that’s okay.

Everything hurts anyway might as well try to burn some calories when I “ angry walk. “

Dr appts M , T and W ! Go me :/

Last night I was up laying in bed awake till 2am then spent 3 hours of it In a half awake half sleep. Was up at 5am tired but not able to sleep. This is day 4 on Bupropion and the first time I’ve had insomnia from it. The couple of night before that it was just making me wake up really early. I’m going to push through because this med had worked for me in the past. I think I’m going to wait to go up to 300mg until the insomnia calms down. The doc said if I felt it working after s few days I could go from 150 to 300 but I’ve been hesitant to do that. The Bupropion is clearing my thoughts-I’m less foggy, have slightly more energy but my jaw feels tight and the insomnia. The web says it takes 4-6 weeks to feel increased motivation.

Don't overdo. Which docs are you seeing?

Ran/walked this morning. Stress is huge. H has to present HOA plea to the board this evening. He is stressed.

Grocery pickup today, T tomorrow, dermatologist on Wed.

The dermatologist always finds stuff to cut off me, but IDK, her choice the last actually biopsied as precancerous. Getting it done before Jan., when insurance has to pay 100% for specialist doc and any biopsies. I have a lot of moles, and usually have to go in 2 times a year.

Are you seeing the rheumatologist soon? Seems like maybe your fibro meds might not be helping much? Mine aren't but luckily, my giant flares are the holidays (even more stress) and spring (pollen from trees & flowers).

Stress never helps fibro.

Panic attack again, OMG, so sick of this . Having a lot of diarrhea this morning. H had it yesterday, thought it was stress. A bug, I think.

Getting dehydrated.

Ugh, feeling so sick now, shaky, fever, stuck in bathroom. Still have to get groceries. Will save fresh fruit and veg prep for tomorrow.

Downing Gatorade, maybe BRAT diet a couple meals, once I can face food again. Nauseous too. Feel bad I never realized H was feeling this bad yesterday.

Feeling pretty decent. This week is going to be busy asf. Well at least busier than normal for me.

Here's the schedule:
Monday - finish getting political literature ready, dropping off a package at fedex, and picking up some clothes that hopefully fit that a lady offered on freecycle. Don’t worry I’ve already met said lady and she’s nice.
Tuesday - going to a cooking class and a class about chakras where I work.
Wednesday - therapy and going to a class on how to make sauerkraut where I work.
Thursday - working
Friday - going to a journaling class where I work and making some desserts
Saturday - more cooking then partying all night for my friend's birthday party.

Also, probably working on political literature really all freaking week because I'm an idiot that can't say no.

If someone asks me to do something on sunday, I might throat punch them.

I have to figure out a halloween costume before saturday too. I might just wear my old one, but it's 2 sizes too big, so idk if it'll look right.

In other news I lost 5 lbs the past week, so I guess the weight loss meds are working.

BTW, if you're curious about where I work here's a link to the site. Fearless Winston Salem — Collaborative collective & social community for & by women I've been really enjoying all the people I've met so far and the social interaction. It's really weird after being cooped up in the house for 3 years.

Today, I woke up feeling depressed. I'm not really why it hit me all the sudden. I was experiencing a lot of anger the past few weeks over different situations, but today, it was just sadness. I'm hoping this will pass soon enough.

Feeling ok. I went back to sleeping a lot. Sucked real bad.

Also, I ordered something on eBay and it had missing parts. Like a TON. I'm bummed because I wanted to build it.

I hope I can get the parts sent to me. If not, I'm going to be really upset. I paid a good chunk of change for this.

This is the first time eBay has messed up. Ive bought tons of things and no issues. Sucks.

At least I accomplished something at work today, if that's worth anything. But I still feel like a failure for f***ing up repeatedly. I ought to apologize, but I'm too embarrassed to.

My husband took the whole week off for vacation and "Mr. Fix It" tasks. Today we ran errands together, but also enjoyed lunch out and took a nice walk around town. We also stopped for iced coffees at a cafe I used to go to every weekday morning right before work, back in my working days. It was nice.

I was delinquent about calling the pharmacy for a refill of my Klonopin. Last night I had none to take. When I called the pharmacy this morning I only then noticed that I had no refills left. They said they'd contact my psychiatrist and suggested that I do the same as a backup. Generally my psychiatrist is quick about responding, but it's 4:30 pm and the pharmacy has yet to call me (they promised rhey would when it's ready). I may have to skip Klonopin a second night. That would be the max I'd feel OK with. It's definitely all my fault. I should keep track of my supplies better.

Update: I just picked up my Klonopin from the pharmacy, about 10 mins before they closed. It's down the hatch.

Good afternoon all. Doing pretty good today.

I’ve cobbled together some PT equipment from Amazon and found videos on YouTube by physical therapists demonstrating appropriate exercises for after carpal tunnel surgery. I’m calling it the MacGyver method . Is there anything you can’t do with Amazon and YouTube? Surgeon vaguely says to do exercises but wouldn’t or couldn’t specify what exercises or order PT for a largely non functional right hand. I feel really hopeful about this! Fingers crossed.

If anyone thinks this is a seriously bad idea please let me know.

Sending hugs to all those that are struggling.

Why couldn't your surgeon order PT?
I have never heard of this.

Since your surgeon cannot help you by ordering PT, this leaves you to figure this all out on your own.

I hope the rehab of your hand goes smoothly!

Thank you. Idk. His PA said she’d try to talk him into it a few months down the line if I didn’t improve. It would be totally lame a few months down the line. I thought this was normal until I researched it. It’s all good though. I’ll figure it out.

Talking about it now though...maybe I should get a second opinion or pay out of pocket for one session with a PT to show me correctly. I just don’t know what to expect 3.5 weeks out.

Hard to get out of bed this morning. Finally did at 10, ate breakfast and was back in bed at 11. I think I got up again around 1 and have managed to get a bunch of stuff done, made lentil soup, stewed some prunes, baked an apple crisp and I even went for a 30 min walk.

Second opinion isn't a bad idea. Did they not even give you a reason, but just said to do exercises? Seems strange, and to not even explain them to you. Perhaps you could tell your PCP and they could advocate for you or refer you for PT?

I would definitely demand a referral, if possible, even if to demonstrate exercises and to check on your progress.

I don't understand what the surgeon is waiting for? This is your hand! You need it to be functional!

My ortho. refers to PT directly after surgery and as soon as he knows there is a problem. He has the PT update him on progress and recommendations.

I hope your hand will be okay!

Thinking of you!

Good news. I am at that point where my mood should drop sharply in the month and it has only taken a minor dip. Irritability has increased, but not too terribly. I know I will feel worse soon, but this is giving me hope I won't totally crash into a dark place this month. I could really use the break! Start therapy this weekend, too. I think I will try to go in there prepared with some goals in mind.

I saw my primary today for the migraine. She prescribed zofran for the queasiness when it comes back. My blood pressure was high- twice this visit and previous visits too. She said to drink more fluid. Im betting it had something to do with the migraine. She also said to go to the dentist- ironically i was scheduled for today but had to cancel for lack of funds. So how can i see the dentist in the next 2 days? The dental office said they cant take pauments for an emergency. Its not an emergency. My dr pushed on my gum and it hurt. But not like a regular tooth pain. Anyway....

Ps ive had the hiccups for 2 days. Supposedly thats a warning sign that a migraine is coming.

When I had a dental emergency earlier this year, I had called around and found a dentist willing to agree to a payment plan. It took several calls to find one. Dental is so very expensive!

I wish you the best!
