I'm starting to think I might be manic, but it's hard to tell because I never recognize my own mania. I can't sleep, I have racing thoughts, I hear voices, and I've been spending a lot of money. But I feel fine. I don't know.

Do you have anyone IRL that knows you well enough to help you determine? There's always your pdoc (yes?) that can help with that, but it might take a little while to get in and a friend might be helpful in the meanwhile. Do you have any PRN meds for if you start to go up?

Not feeling super elated doesn't necessarily mean you aren't manic. Remember, we only need to hit a certain number of symptoms, not necessarily all of them to be manic.

Im doing great today. Well this morning I was still dealing with the SI but by the afternoon I was fine again. I worked with the kids to clean and rearrange all of their bedrooms and them played hide and seek with the youngest.

Apologized to my H for acting the way I was. He told me again that they love me and want/need me around and that I can always call him at work if I start feeling that way when he isnt home. Then we had some fun before he headed to work (love it when my libido is up!)

Finally emailed my T back now that Im calm and I can say rational things because before all I could type was a lot of F yous towards everyone and how I was giving up on everyone plus life. And now having a bath and made popcorn for the kids to have with a movie which is almost over then right away will be putting them to bed and i think I will clean my kitchen.

I'll ask my boyfriend when he gets home. I see my psychologist on December 7th. He may be able to help. I don't have any PRN meds. I just started lithium.

I’m feel disappointed. I’m on my fourth antidepressant and it’s also my fourth time having horrible side effects from them. I’ve decided that my body just can’t do them. I’m already on seroquel and that’s not keeping the depression bouts away. Anybody know what kind of medication the doctor might try now?

Hi and welcome to the Bipolar forum.

It would be hard to guess which med your doc might try next.

I hope you find the information and the support you may be seeking.
Please do jump in and make yourself at home.
I hope to see you around the forums.

There are so many to try ..

I know it’s frustrating trying to find something that works and can be tolerated.

Are you having any luck with using coping skills ? I always say keep flinging coping skills until something sticks.

Hope you find something soon.

I took my night meds at 9:30. My goals are to take my morning meds and night meds at the same times each day and try to get to sleep and wake up around the same time. I'm doing this in steps. The other thing is yoga 3 times a week. I have a lot of changes I want to make in my life and daily routine, but I have to do it slowly. I have a habit of trying to make tons of changes at once, then I get overwhelmed very quickly and don't keep up with any of it.

I used to have such a good routine for quite awhile then it just fell apart over time. I don't like taking things slowly, I like going full speed but that's just setting myself up for failure because it won't last

Can you ask your doctor about laudta? It's an AP but geared toward bipolar depression. Welcome to the forum

Hello and welcome to PC

Hard to tell what your doc wants to do, I am personally on Seroquel and it has been my magic in a bottle, you could try going up in dose which is what I had to do until I found the right dose that got rid of the depression.

You could ask for a mood stabilizer ex. Lamictal to try along with the Seroquel; or if you just feel done with Seroquel you could try Lithium, Latuda, Zyprexa, Abilify, Geodon, Saphris, Vraylar, Rexulti, Tegretol, Risperdal. There are a ton more options, it's why I like to joke that it's a med-go-round until you find the right one.

roast dinner didn't fill me up- and actually seemed pointless having it as I was so hungry afterwards

I was also in a lot of chrronic pain last night so could not find a good position. I didn't do much for the rest of the night and of course didn't sleep,
so was extra long and boring

so far today I am feeling freaked out- well not really freaked out, a little agitated because I had to answer some questions for a form

and some of the questions (2 of them?) were quite personal and I wasn't impressed with it

but I did it and it's over but now I'm sitting here thinking... wow, those were draining

I hate questions at the best of times- and especially personal ones

Hard night sleeping. I woke up down; H goes back to work today, my daughter back to school. It has been nice having them both home.

My daughter has a late day at school today, practice for a math competition in early 2019, so I won't pick her up until later. I always have a hard time when my schedule changes. She is also going to be singing at some Christmas events with her choir; I think the first one starts Thursday. It is outdoors, so i hope the weather cooperates.

Got almost 4 hours of sleep. Better than none. I have class in the afternoon, it will be a relief to turn in this paper that's been giving me so much stress.

I'm just enjoying the morning now. Going to the movies to see Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindewald tonight with a friend and am looking forward to it! I don't get out much so it will be nice.

Hopefully I can make it to the gym later, I don't feel good physically but I really need to get some exercise.
