hey said the appraisal was less than the

$500 deductible but they more than likely do
not use honda parts for their estimate is what
the manager at honda told me.

I will try to at least get my rental car $returned.

Ate quite a bit of cheese at whole foods ate a

big salad with ceasar dressing added some

parmesan cheese. It had greens, cucumbers,
rainbow carrots, red onions which I cut into

small pieces and cherry tomatoes.
Then my new friend Erin, let me have some of

her cheese tray. It had 2 different types of

cheeses, sweetie drops little tiny bright red

peppers and chocolate drops and very thin

crackers. I ate too many crackers.

It was delicious but fattening.

I stuck to my 8 hour window so that was good.
I drank 42 ounces of water while I was there.

Just now had 2 glasses of water with my night meds.

Getting ready to hit the hay. Going to work in the yard

tomorrow if the weather cooperates.

The trees have dropped a lt of leaves that need
to be raked up and the pollen is in full bloom

so that needs to be raked up as well.

night all

I met erin a couple of years ago at a christmas party.
About a month ago I gave her my business card with my cell phone number on it and she gave me hers, and asked if she wanted to get together some time.
So monday she texted to see if I was going to trivia on friday, and I said yes.
She is a teacher at an elementary school, teaches math(I think).
Jeff had a gig so he was not at trivia.
Erin stated that she wanted to go to the big bang percussion concert tonight and could not find anyone to go and I said that I had wanted to go too. So we are meeting up tonight at 7 or so, it starts at 7:30.Bizi's new 2019 thread
(Jeff has another gig and he will be gone from 6:15 to home around 10;30)
long gig for little money. It is the big band 20 piece band, think 40's music. they all wear tuxes and people dance waltz and ball room, elderly crowd and some youngsters who dance swing. I have been 3-4 times before and they play pretty much the same music and I don't like going alone.
So I am glad Erin mentioned it to me. She is in her late 30's. no children, her husband is a pastry chef at a wonderful bakery in town.
They live not too far from us.
No one asked me why I was just drinking water. Maybe they knew that I gave up alcohol for lent????
Trivia was fun. There were 5 of us on the team....My fellow team members are quite competitive. You are only allowed 4 members per team and I always say that I am not playing because I am so terrible at trivia.
Occasionally I will verbalize an answer but usually it is wrong like last night. I thought it was a typhoon that did all of the damage to africa this past week. IT was a cyclone.
sigh
any way I need to get dressed, finished my 3rd cup of coffee.

My poor nose is a disaster area. My rosacea is really creating havoc, so many pimples and sores...I can't keep from messing with them...need to leave them alone. The concealer that I use is from 10 years ago and I think is contributing to the problem. So I ordered from amazon some new concealer the same brand so that was lucky. Golden honey. It should be here next week.

need to get going.
Want to rake today.
I looks nice outside.
Have a great day , hugs to those who need them thanks for reading.

I was wrong....Erin is a music teacher at a charter school on the north side of town.
35years old and very talkative...which is good since I don't have much to talk about.
I wanted to stop by fat pats for a beer but resisted because I am not drinking right now.
It is getting easier resisting that impulse.

My nose is swollen and full of pimples/little scabs... it is awful....wonder if I should just go see a dermatologist? What I have been doing is not working....can't wait for my new make up to come in, should be wednesday I think/hope. It is embarrassing,
I look like rudolf the red nose reindeer.
So I have to cover it up...I am ashamed that I keep picking at the pimples...
sigh

The concert was good a little long. I liked the marimba players not the steel drums players the big jazz band played with them which was good.
Because her husband dropped her off at the auditorium so she would not have to deal with parking. Which I had to park in another parking garage far away and paid to park like $6 for 3 hours. We walked back to my car, thankfully the rain held off until I ended up taking her home.

Yesterday, I did some yard work. Raked up pollen and leaves off of the side walks and street. We have a good size oak tree in the front yard that put out these pollen blossoms, My shoes were completely green after raking them up. Thank goodness I don't have allergies I would have had to wear a mask to do this.(although I do have a scratchy throat this morning) I filled up 4 barrels of leaves and pollen.I called the yard man, Paul and asked if he could do our yard/mulch the leaves in the front yard. He said either monday or tuesday. We have used his services since 2004, he does a good job.

Also did a bit of cleaning. Threw out a bath mat and bought a new one a pretty lilac color. There was a border of dirty hairspray coating on the floor. Scrubbing bubbles to the rescue! My floor is so nice now. Hate getting on my knees to do that but that is the only way.
I feel it this morning.

Woke up early for me for a sunday wanted to go pee and get on the scale 178. I had a large piece of chantilly cake at the dealership when I test drove the new honda fit. It has less storage space in the front of the vehicle, more in the back.(which we don't need).
It has one less glove box, mine has 2 and one less cup holder on the passenger side which is a no go. I really like my car. It was all nice and shining as I just had it washed.
So I will keep it now that it is paid off. Cheaper to fix a car than to buy a new one it should last me another 5 years or more. I put on 80K miles in 5 years, so in 5 more years it will have 160,000 miles on it. That is if I keep working as much as I have been.

Speaking of work my business is down. Don't know why I was so busy around the holidays....now have had days with out any clients. Like I said before, am glad that it has been slower because it has given me time to get my paperwork in order.
So that is good. Now I need more clients. I gave $20 to one of the assisted living facilities that I frequent for 2 $10 bingo prizes. I will do this more often. The residents love to play bingo and get so excited when there is a cash prize. I have done this for 2 places.

I remain alcohol free.

Going to make me some more coffee as 2 cups is not enough this morning.
It is a chilly 47 degrees today with a high of 56. There was snow in Indiana and temps in the 30's burr. So glad that we live in the south!.

My brother in law is coming into town for Jeffs awards banquet, the end of april. He has never been here before. I rescheduled my clients so I can be a tour guide of sorts. It is also Festival International, a free music fest so he will get to experience that on saturday. He leaves on sunday. I hope the weather is nice. We have that to look forward to. I will take him to lake martin so he can see a swamp/maybe do a swamp tour. 2 weekends ago the alligators were out in full view sunning them selves. My friends went kayaking and took great photos. They looked very close to this huge one. She said they were 25 feet away. Looked closer than that! too close for my comfort!
I am going to take a shower today.

Going to have my usual bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and egg on untoasted rye bread sandwich that I love!

Enjoy your sunday!

Our cats cancer came back, on her back and now on her side.

Sigh....
I am going to request a copy of her chart including the pathology report so we can go to another vet for a second opinion.
Will go and ask for that copy, hubby doesn't want to do that himself though he knows we need it for the next vet. He doesn't want to hurt Dr. Drews feelings.

The tumor just keeps growing. Going out of town and more extensive surgery seems a bit much and expensive. Dr. Drew said it would involve taking ribs etc. Sounds painful...right now she is in no pain at all and acts like her self. She did really well after the first surgery.

It is interesting and helpful to look back over my weight
report over the past year.
I was at my lowest weight for the year right before our
christmas vacation= 170.6...
2 weeks of eating and drinking freely put on about 17 pounds...
how can that be?
After I came home I started dieting again and I lost some weight...
then we had 2 weeks of mardi gras partying and
I gained all of the weight back and then some=190.8.
Had not been that heavy in 15 years!!!!
I am either on a diet or gaining weight.
At 177.6 this morning I am still 7 pounds heavier
than before christmas.
No wonder I don't feel any lighter. Numbers don't lie!
It is obvious that when I drink I eat freely and gain weight.
When I don't drink alcohol then I am more aware of my
eating and able to diet.
The end result is that I lose weight.

Last night, I decided to have a smoothie right
when I get home before dinner.
It is a concoction of superfoods, supplements and protein.
I mix it with half cup of almond milk and half cup of organic milk.
This one cup has 23 grams of protein and 210 calories.
I am accustomed to coming home and having a piece of cheese
and nuts before dinner. Now I will have this smoothie instead.
It is much healthier. and the taste is ok.

My goal of 169.9 is doable before 5-1-19.
(That is 8 pounds in one month)
Between Intermittant fasting and following a lower carb diet
I think I can do this!
wish me luck.

Sounds like a good and very reasonable goal. Best of luck! Always!

The smoothies taste awful.Bizi's new 2019 thread
They contain super foods/greens:
Moringa, amla, collagen, aspen "slim",
4oz of almond vanilla milk,

4 oz of fat free organic milk.
All in all have 210 calories,

23 grams of protein and only 15 carbs.
It definitely cuts my appetite and is good for me.

I have started taking the supplements

of tart cherry and boswellia and turmeric

for inflammation along with my other

supplements at noon after lunch.

A few weeks ago I started taking a

large dose of thiamine.

Because I drink, I thought I needed that.

But looking at the label am not sure it is

really thiamine....it is called L-theanine.

It is made by sports research promoting

relaxation and focus.

It came up as one of the top sellers on

amazon when I searched for thiamine.
I ordered it and am taking it with out

researching it out first. I should do that!

I am trying to drink more fluids...this morning already,
have had 3 cups of coffee and 2 cups of

sweetened water with stevia.

And it is almost 10am here.
I got up at 7:30 this morning,

had to pee and wanted to weigh myself...no loss just a gain.

Need to try and not get discouraged.

It is important that I remain alcohol free,
Eat well and try to take care of myself as best as I can.

On thursday I got my nails done, a manicure, clear gel

polish that should last for weeks.
I am trying to stay sane and not worry about

the board of nurses issue for now.

If I lose my license then I will worry about our finances.
I was going to stop the vitamins that I have been taking

because they are expensive.

But I feel that I need them.

It is almost 2 weeks until easter.

Wonder if I will drink then?
I have been happy with the weight loss
thus far. And I know it is because of not drinking
fattening dark/sstrong beers.
I know this is true for me.
The lure/seduction of moderation keeps calling my name.
I have tried this before and have failed.

I am an all or nothing kind of gal.
No moderation in this vocabulary.
I guess that is the bipolar in me.Bizi's new 2019 thread

Have a great weekend and hug and kiss your loved ones!

Well here I am again....have been on line for hours. Hubby went to join his friends for drinks after the concert tonight. He dropped me off back home because I am not drinking right now and did not want to be out around people with out a drink in my hand. I have social anxiety issues.
Alcohol lubricates those awkward moments.
After mardi gras I was at my highest weight. so decided to give up alcohol and started dieting for lent.
so far have lost a good 12 pounds in a months time.
So that is good.
I am still 7 pounds heavier than what I was before christmas break.

sigh

I will get there.
so working on 2 out of 3 addictions.
At least I am working on some of my problems.
