Me:

- 20% of the time I'm depressed
- 0% of the time mixed
- 20% of the time manic
- 50% of the time euthymic.

Psychosis... probably 50% of the time.
Thanks for this!

0% psychosis
0% mixed
10% manic
30% hypomanic
30% depressed
30% euthymic
That's a rough guess.

I really have no idea. I don't think I'm euthymic very much. I'm pretty-much always in at least a mild state of internal agitation. I'm never depressed in the typical sense of the word. My depression tends to express itself as generalized anger. Occasionally I'll have little bouts of what I presume might be considered hypomania. I've had these little episodes for as long as I can remember. And I've spent lots of sleepless nights building castles in the sky as a result of them.

Varies by year. In 2019, maybe the following? It wasn't a particularly bad year at all, considering some of the stressors.

- 5% depressed (more grieving, stress and/or worry from loss of my pet and my dad's many trips to the ER and hospital than full fledged depressive episode) - I have the occasional "down" day, but usually bounce out of it quickly.
- 10% mixed features (sometimes more on hypo/manic end sometimes more on depressive end)
- 60% euthymic
- 25% hypomanic (several short-term, but I remember one was over a month or so - varying levels)
- 2% to 3% full blown manic (briefly following longer-term hypomanic period)
- 1% to 2% psychosis (as part of full blown and some mixed features)

I'm stable most of the time, I might have an episode or two every couple years or so. This year I had a severe manic and also depressive episode but for several years before that I was stable. As for psychosis, it just depends. I have schizoaffective so I have psychotic symptoms outside of mood episodes.

The last time I had an episode (lack of sleep and hallucinations, I think hypomania or mania, not sure, but increasing Abilify took care of it before I had to be hospitalized) was about a year ago. Before then, it had been some 3 years and at that time I was hypomanic drifting into depression afterwards, mostly feeling down and worthless because of what I had done while hypomanic and just having gone through that mood state in and of itself, if that makes sense. My meds were not entirely effective at the time, and I had, I think, one manic episode and 2 hypomanic episodes that year. I tend to get depressed after hypo/manic episodes go away.

I'm not sure if this is the kind of answer you're looking for, but it's the best way I can think to describe it.

i'm not good at percentages, so I'll just say that my top 3 states (or the ones I tend to be most often) are depressed, mannic, and mixed

in adition: between the months of june and september, I am more likely to be depressed (something to do with the warmer weather)

I am more likely to be manic between december and march (with that said, I had a really bad depression around that time a few years ago)

I wish I knew...fortunately or unfortunately meds mask my natural cycle of moods. I do know Fall is a season I love, but that usually brings me a deep depression.agitated-delusional anxiety. Spring/summer seems to alternate between hypomanic/manic and, as summer wears on the miserable mixed state.

Euthymic...that's a sticky one, because I'm just not sure.

You have such interesting posts Blue! My state the majority of the time is depression. That’s what we are eternally fighting. I don’t have hypomania (can’t remember even once) or mixed which is why I question my diagnosis at times.

I think I’m about 60% depressed though most of the time not severely. The rest is hypomanic and mixed. I don’t think I spend a lot of time euthymic, my baseline seems to be mild depression.

I usually get manic every June. It can go on for awhile, as it is sometimes treatment-resistant. Depression tends to start up right about now, but this year, I had a lot of it in September, for some reason. It is always extremely stubborn. We did have an unusually cool summer and leaves were beginning to turn weeks ago, so I wonder about all that. I will have a number of other hypomanic and less severe depressed episodes scattered throughout the year. I'd say I get on average maybe three mixed episodes per year, but there does not appear to be any seasonality to those. I may get psychotic in either manic, mixed, or depressed states. My last time in the hospital was late 2016. Hoping to keep that up.

I don’t know. Normally I’m ip up to 6 times a year usually manic or mixed. 2019 has been a good year. I’ve been able to nip episodes in the bud and only needed hospitalisation x2 for episodes.

I would say ...

45/50% relative “baseline “ slightly off either up or down, but manageable.

5-10% truly stable

30% hypo/mania the rage-y angry kind

10-15% truly in deep depression

Fall is typically where I struggle the most, followed by spring, winter then summer.
