I slept 11 hours instead of stressing all night. That’s pretty impressive. I went to bed at 6:30 too. Usually I’d wake up at 11 if I went to bed that early.

I think my medication is losing its effectiveness so I’m getting between 2-6 hours a night. I can’t seem to nap during the day and I don’t get back to sleep at night. I woke at 2:30 last night and drank a pot of coffee but didn’t feel alert until after noon. I’ll run this by my NP because this is wearing me down.

I fell asleep early (9 pm?), but at 11 pm I woke up after a dream where a person was trying to smother me with a pillow. At the very end, I heard "I love you." whispered. When I woke up, I jothought it was for some reason my husband that did that, but of course it was just a dream. Why would I even dream such a thing and think it could ever be him?

When I woke up, it was just me and I was fine, but I got up and looked around, all the same. I am sleeping downstairs on the sofa and Hubby, already asleep, is upstairs in the spare room because our master bedroom is freshly painted. I even looked through the door of the basement down the stairs. The lights are all on, but that's common. Hubby often leaves them on by accident, plus he and his friend had been hauling stuff down there earlier in the evening. I didn't want to go down to turn off the lights, because I have a little fear about the basement. In recent years, I can go down, but at night and after that dream? No. I went up and Hubby is sleeping, peacefully.

Stress. Symbolic dream? Weird one-off? Trauma dream flashback (I once had amnesia awareness when paralyzed with muscle relaxant)? Run of the mill nightmare? A little sleep apnea and/or one or two of others?

It is hard to sleep now. My cell phone is low on juice and my laptop, too. I'm using data because our internet is on the fritz. My power cords are buried somewhere amongst the mess.

Ran out of ZzzQuil and Seroquel alone is useless. I don't even know why I'm taking it. Amazon won't deliver my ZzzQuil until tomorrow

My sleep is still better for the most part than it has been for a long time. I'm not sure what has caused this change.

Wishing better sleep for all who need it

Every night I have a super hard time sleeping, it’s always past 4am when I finally fall asleep. Then last night I had a dream of being lost. At first I went to a museum it was a history museum where you take boats though time. See the dinosaurs and first humans . I finishe then met my sister and our grand kids, ages 1 to 9 and we went back to the museum. The ride came to an end and I was so tired I got off the boat on the wrong side so was late to the small bus that was to take us to the car. I sat away from them in the back and laid down. When I woke up it was dark and just a couple people on the buss. I tried to get my bearings so I could direct my sister to where to pick me up but the twin cities had changed so much. There were huge Chinese restaurants on a river that had never been there before. I asked the driver if I could stay on for the return trip. I explained while I had lived there my sister didn’t and would need so easy identifying building. I had a backpack with a blackberry in it that I could use to contact her. It was such an intense detailed dream!

ZzzQuil is Nyquil without any medicine in it. So it's liquid diphenhydramine. For some reason ZzzQuil works better for me that other otc sleep meds. It tastes ghastly, though

Slept more or less decently. Still broken, but better than not sleeping. I had an intense dream that I was working in a car wash

Maybe you wanted to go back to the 80’s? For some reason I associate car washes with the 80’s?

Thanks BethRags, I will probably try this!

I thought it was some sort of code for a different version of serokill (oops I mean seroquel)

I slept ok last night, not really long enough. No intense dreams that I remember. I haven't ever dreamt that I am working in a car wash Dreams can be fascinating
(or scary and horrible)

Perhaps. Did you ever see the movie "Car Wash"? I think it was done in the late '70's. Quite an amusing movie.

I saw a reference to it in another movie but I’ve never seen the movie it’self I think my mind fixated on the 80’s cause of all those commercials back then

Well, it was this disco-ish wacky movie about a group of guys who work at a car wash in a ghetto. And the song "Car Wash" from the movie was a huge disco hit.

Yeah, I do remember the song. I was in figure skating back then and one of the songs we danced to was car wash! I can’t recall the other song but we wore colored straws on our heads, it was disco too, hot stuff, I think.

Fell asleep very early without taking my meds, about 7pm. Woke up at 9:30 for about an hour and took meds, then slept until 3am. I hate falling asleep without taking my meds. Always wake up 2-3 hours later. Lots of broken sleep this week because of it.
