What normally happens in your town/city for New Year's eve? |

We use to have a Hogmanay (New Year's Eve) party back in the 90's early 00's but that stopped. Normally pubs have a lock in and you celebrate with the people in the vars/pubs/clubs.
New Year's Day a tradition in my city is called The New Year Dook which takes place any time from 8am to 3pm on New Year's Day. Its when the crazy people jump into the freezing river. Temperatures reach -10 etc. I do it. But not this year NO celebration as Scotland as of 26th Dec is on full lockdown ![]() Question: What is a tradition be in food or drink you have on Hogmanay or New Year's Day? |

I haven't stayed up 'til midnight on NY's Eve for at least 28 years. I am just too sleepy, plus I'd rather just wake to a new day than go through all the emotion of the old year falling away. It's too overwhelming. If you could live in a tree house that was warm and safe, would you?

Several Chirstmas days in my twenties, I had the pleasure of spending the day alone with my pets. I took advantage of my building's laundry room being empty and caught up on my washing. It was great, and probably the best xmas days I've had in my entire life.
