Enjoy your sounds machine! I had one years ago and really enjoyed it. Lately I've been thinking about getting another one. But I get all hung up on which sounds I want and which I don't.

I haven't been on typicals but it sounds like trilapon is good for a lot of people.

I was on loxapine and recommend it. It's an early atypical. It metabolizes into an antidepressant (amoxapine) so you get double duty. It has a huge amount to go up and I was just reaching the dose my pdoc wanted me on when I developed dystonias. But that's rare and from the little time I was on I could tell that it ws going to help me stabilize.

As I understand it, the one big concern with the older AP's was tardive dyskinesia. But the thing is, TD usually happens when high doses have been used for a long time (years). Way back when, people were prescribed doses that were much higher than were necessary.

It seems to me, from my own experience and from what I hear from other patients, that the atypicals cause so many problems. If I can go with an older AP, I will.

Well my son was admitted to a new psych hospital here. No visitors allowed. I'm kinda frustrated bc hes saying he doesn't believe hes being drugged anymore. He told me that he believes hes been drugged for the last 3 yrs. Hes on the same meds he was before. He just doesn't want to stay. He needs to be honest so he can really get the help he needs.

I need him to give me a code or I cant talk to the pdoc there. I doubt he will. Just frustrated with him...

I had a 4 hour long panic attack tonight. Just pure misery. So glad it ended. Now I hope I sleep bc my sister is coming over tomorrow. Shes dropping off some stuff.

My tv is set up in the living room now instead of the bedroom. That's going to take a lot to get used to. Maybe I need a noise machine? My friend Christine is coming over to visit in about an hour to see the place. I hope I can remember the way to get here! I know how to get to my street but not where the building is exactly. Oh! My internet was on when they hooked up the tv! I guess calling Comcast did work! I'm attaching a pic of one side of the livingroom. You can see my new couch and new lamp I bought.

The lamp is cheerful! The fun thing about it is that you can have 2, 3, or 5 lights on at once. One thing I noticed is that the in-wall ac unit was turning on a lot. I had the sliding glass door to the balcony open so that must've been it. The laundry isn't too expensive so that's nice.

I need to finish my move-in inspection. You know- where you tell them what's wrong with the new place when you first move in so they don't charge you for it when you leave.

See you freaked out for nothing. That lamp is cute!

How frustrating! The pdocs surely know, though, that patients tend to omit some key symptoms. I wonder what they'll think of him not showering...he'll have to provide some kind of reason.

Ugh, that code thing is a pain. I had to have a code to visit my niece a few years ago when she was IP. I kept forgetting it, forgetting to write it down. Do you know why he won't give you the code?

Awake here...The air is compressed from the fires. That's the best word I can come up with. Entirely still and the temperature barely changes from day to night, which is so odd here.

I probably awoke, too, because today is my son's 32nd birthday! He weighed 10, 7oz when he was born. He was huge. Now he's 5'11" and thin. I will refrain from going into where did 32 years go....

It's so quiet around here. Hopefully, everyone is having a good snooze.

I still feel kinda sick today. I got pretty dizzy last night and I had to sit in the bathroom for awhile because I thought I was going to be sick. Then by 10:30 I was starving so I had to eat something. I fell asleep (without seroquel - I was afraid it would make my stomach worse. This morning I still have a pretty bad headache. My stomach is uneasy. I think I’m just gonna eat light today. I have a lot of stuff around the house that I want to do. I’m guessing I have some sort of mild stomach bug.

I’m hoping to go switch my summer clothes over to fall/winter clothes, put the pants that are too big for me now in a bag upstairs, and go through my son’s clothes and put everything too small for him in a bag for donations. He keeps wearing pants two sizes too small and they look like painted on capris lol!

Today is busy. We will be running errands, including food drop off, going to an electronics recycling joint, and the high school "paper shredding day". Luckily all are local.

My back, arm, and shoulder are still in pain. It's always worst after sleeping. I have been sleeping OK, despite. It's been a good 9 days since the injury. I assume the excessive physical work related to home sale prep is worsening the situation. I also want to do some packing today.

A man who took one of our desks said he wanted to buy our Ficus tree, but pick it up later. As often is the case, he seems to be backing out of it. Yesterday I texted him asking if he still wants it. His response was "Can you send me a photo? Also, you have to tell me how to care for it." That annoyed me since he saw the sucker in person, so I didn't respond. Then later he asked if he could come tomorrow (meaning today). I simply responded "Yes". Likely he won't come. Or if he shows up without appointment, he might find us out. Such a hassle, these things!
