I also wish I could send some of our rain your way, Daonnachd and BethRags BethRags, I do hope you and your kitties stay safe.

Hubby and I have been listing stuff for sale, left and right. I've done most of the postings on Craigslist and Ebay. Yesterday evening Hubby posted my car (my car) on Ebay Motors. He got a buyer already this morning! We're glad to have the money, but it is a little sad. This was my very own first car that I bought 100% before getting married.

I'm guessing the fire must be worse today, or there's another one. Awoke to a red son and smokey air. We were given an evacuation order yesterday, but it was quickly rescinded for whatever reason. I have 5 cats and no way to transport them, so I will not evacuate and leave them. I suspect we were being told to evac because of the terrible air quality - but evac to where? No place is any better.

Well my anxiety/panic attacks are DEFINITELY related to my student. He’s been absent for three days, and today I feel much better. He comes back Monday, but he’s been put on meds. I doubt they’ll take effect for a few weeks but hopefully he will be able to control his outbursts when they do, at least to a manageable degree.

I haven’t eaten all that much this week due to anxiety. Today I feel actually physically ill. I don’t know why. I forgot to pack a breakfast this morning so I didn’t eat anything till 12:15, and since I didn’t feel like getting out of my car I got a quarter pounder at McDonald’s. Boy, was my stomach turning! Good lord, I felt so sick. I didn’t get sick so I stayed the rest of the day. It calmed down in about an hour but even driving home I still felt off. I’m hungry now but nothing seems appetizing so I will probably just eat some yogurt that I have later. Maybe I’ll be able to choke down a little of the pasta dish I got at the diner yesterday but I’m not sure, it’s high fat with meat, cheese, and a cream sauce. So maybe I’ll avoid it!

I am sooo glad to hear that the child has been put on meds. What a relief for everyone involved - especially for him. I'm thinking that even by Monday you'll see some improvement in him.

I'd eat very lightly. Hope you're feeling better after a good sleep.

Here it is 5:45 p.m. and I am all moved in! The movers got to the old place at 1130 or so and were strong and quick! My mom gave them a nice tip for each. Almost everything is put away except my cds and dvds and books but I can do that easily. Your prayers must've been heard because just when the movers were almost done packing the moving truck, my phone rang to tell me that the apartment passed inspection! My aunt came over and lined all my shelves and cupboards ! N3 and gf came over and ate with us and all I need now are a couple of end tables for beside my bed. My new lights are set up and work. I don't know where caleb is smoking- he just disappears periodically. I think I saw him in his rental car earlier? My tree has a lovely East door wall to bask in. My tv is set up in the living room now instead of the bedroom. That's going to take a lot to get used to. Maybe I need a noise machine? My friend Christine is coming over to visit in about an hour to see the place. I hope I can remember the way to get here! I know how to get to my street but not where the building is exactly. Oh! My internet was on when they hooked up the tv! I guess calling Comcast did work! I'm attaching a pic of one side of the livingroom. You can see my new couch and new lamp I bought.

Looks great Moose! That's a very efficient move. I'm glad you are in and getting settled. When I moved here my therapist told me that you know you are fully settled when you can find the light switches in the dark. It made sense to me.

You were super duper paranoid on it, dude, 'member talking to me at like, 2 in the morning or whatever? I'm not really convinced it was the drug for you. Just 'cuz it is a miracle for Susie, might totally blow for Bob. Our brains are so unique and complex. How are symptoms now?

Able to walk more and with less pain every day (achilles surgery). Very encouraging. I wish the rest of my chronic pain would go away. The weeks of toxic, smokey air sure can't help anybody.

Overall, pretty good!

I think we all have a med or two we feel this way about. From what bpcyclist said it sounds like clozaril wasn't very friendly to you. It's not the easiest med by far and if it didn't work it didn't work. Something else will help you. Have you tried some of the older APs?

Good suggestion. In a number of ways I've found the typical AP's more effective, and with less side effects than the atypicals. The newer AP's have such horrendous and lasting side effects.

Thanks! I'm just so happy. ☺

My laundry is in the building and the machines take credit cards! I was worried I'd have to find quarters.

Construction noise has been bothering me. It's making me cranky and short-tempered. So i bought a white-noise machine! Yay! It'll be here tomorrow. I'm so excited! It has seven nature sounds settings too! I could tell it's from China from the copy: it says it's "more considerable." Well, there's a ringing endorsement!

@Moose72: Congratulations on your move! All your hard work paying off! Your lamp looks very cheerful! It's great that your laundry machines take credit cards. Ours take coins and it's such a bore, especially during COVID when you already don't want to be handling cash.

Yes! It's been a long road in getting here- even more than this past month which is when I started this journey with this apartment complex. I was looking up places that took section 8 but none were one bedrooms- or the ones that WERE 1 bedroom were in a town too far away. I got lucky that my mom's neighbor works for this company and suggested several complexes actually. Applied for this one and was accepted! I can't tell you how happy that made me feel!

The lamp is cheerful! The fun thing about it is that you can have 2, 3, or 5 lights on at once. One thing I noticed is that the in-wall ac unit was turning on a lot. I had the sliding glass door to the balcony open so that must've been it. The laundry isn't too expensive so that's nice.

I need to finish my move-in inspection. You know- where you tell them what's wrong with the new place when you first move in so they don't charge you for it when you leave.

I’m glad laundry doesn’t cost too much. What I loved about my sec 8 in Texas was it had laundry hook ups and the woman who helped me find my apartment hooked me up with a great old washer dryer combo that only cost $150 and the guy delivered! It was so nice having that. Never once gave me trouble all the years I lived there. I think I was there 12 years. Longest I’d ever stayed in one place. I had decent pdoc s and a great T that kept me stable. Really sec 8 was one of the best things that happened to me in terms of helping stay stable.
