Ooo I’m glad you didn’t break anything too. You don’t need that on top of everything else.

~Christina What a crap thing to have happen! Great that nothing's broken, still, falling is such a shock to the mind and body. I'm sending healing vibes.

I had the same take. The French staff seemed so much more compassionate with the patients, and also seemed to work well with each other as a team.

I only got 4 hours 6 minutes of sleep last night according to my fitbit. Had a massive panic attack earlier that lasted hours. I took my klonopin though, and relaxed with one of my favorite videogames and am feeling better.

I'm charging my kindle so I can get some ebooks from my library. I still have some requests I'm gonna need to pick up in person next week. I'm glad I still have access to the library throughout all this craziness. Books are wonderful.

My sister got the 2 forms I needed for my apartment recertification thing so she'll drop them off tomorrow. Then I can give them to the property manager Monday. That's a relief. I was worried they wouldn't come in time.

Attached is a pic of my new hair color. Anyway, I hope everyone has a good weekend and prayers to anyone struggling
I love your new hair color! It's uniquely beautiful. A little different shade than the usual. Soft romantic type color.

Thanks for this post, it's a very important issue.

The flippant attitude of some staff saddens me I agree that THEY are the evil ones.

It's interesting that they are so much more compassionate at the unit in France.

I'm hopeful that, very slowly, the world is becoming more enlightened regarding mental illness and treating everyone with compassion and respect.

ETA a little known fact about me. I was a student nurse once. I decided it was the ''wrong career'' for me. I found some of the senior staff on the first ward I was on to be.. unkind. The student nurses in my intake year were all kind and gentle (unlike some at the school I had attended as a cub)

It's great to read of people voting. I sent mine through the mail a while ago. I'm pretty sure it should be fine within my state.

I'm sorry to read of your fall. I've become a bit scared of stairs, too. I had a bad fall a little over a month ago during my vacation (and went for an xray). I had a bad fall down my stairs at home, a few days ago (and went for an xray).

It sounds like you didn't get that badly hurt. I'm glad to read that. Stairs certainly hold the potential of causing severe injury. My right foot is just horrible looking. It is not as swollen today, but the bruising appearance worsens, and new bruises show up. My foot looks like one that would be in a medical student's textbook. I won't gross anyone out by posting pictures. I overdid it today. Tomorrow I'll be better. I bought a special medical boot for it. Part of my problem is that I have a high pain threshold. If Hubby hurt his foot as I have, he'd probably be in bed 24/7. Plus, I've been on the manic end, lately. That seems to increase my pain threshold even more.

I’m so glad you didn’t break anything. I’ve noticed over the past year that my balance is off and I’ve almost fallen several times. I wonder if it’s an age thing.

Jennifer, thanks for the well wishes. I certainly need it to heal quickly, because I have so much to do.

bpcyclist, my sweet psychiatrist got back to me, even on a Saturday. I must say he gave me a bit of lecture in his email response, mostly about my therapist and using coping tools. He increased my base Seroquel XR again, and told me to keep using prn IR.

I am also very concerned about how mentally ill people are treated in the criminal justice system. I've read and written a little bit on this topic in the past.

super happy for you. Stay the course.

Some of you may remember I have a rescued greyhound who used to race. He loves to run so when I had him out this evening we were running. Well, he pulled me right off my feet. Fortunately, I have a lot of experience with falls having raced bicycles in my younger days. Without letting go of the leash I did a perfect shoulder roll. The thought that flashed through my mind as I went down was, "Oh, no, I'm going to tear a hole in the knee of my new jeans." Luckily, I didn't.

I'm jealous! i want a retired greyhound. I also can do the forward rolls from having taken judo.
