Properly play an instrument well. Maybe downhill skiing.

Do you ever like rainy days (literal ones)? If so, what is it about them that you like?

Yeah, I like how everything's chill, low energy vibes if it's a cold rain. Good for making some hot tea and just relaxing. If it's a warm rain, ooh boy, I go out and run around in it pretending I'm the Weather God. It's a great time. My neighbors have accepted I'm 100% nuts On the other hand, my cats don't like rainy days, poor fur babies.
Also, skiing in the rain is surprisingly awesome! No crowds (seriously, you might be the only one on the mountain), warm temps, soft snow!

How "weather-resistant" are you? Do you go out in the storm regardless or do you wait inside for the sun to come out?

The opposite - I'd tend to be fine with going out in a storm, because our storms are almost always quite mild (hardly storms). But the heat can be vicious in the summer - easily over 100 degrees (though not humid).

How likely are you to binge watch a show?

Not very much, if it’s on DVDs and commercial free I’m much more likely to binge. But on reg TV about two shows is about all I can handle. I get distracted by the commercials and can’t follow the story.

Are there certain shows you’re more likely to binge watch than others? For instance sci fi is what I’m most likely to binge on.

I was 21 when I was diagnosed. I just got my first job and I guess the main trigger was stress. My boss made me work around 12-14 hours almost every day.

Which among the bad habits you have do you think would be the most difficult to get rid of?

Unfortunately, I have a number of bad habits. Though it has improved with medications, less stress in life, and therapy, my reactions to stress can still be a bit overblown, at times (though not all the time). It usually shows in the form of frustration, agitation, and anger. It's hard to get past that tendency. It's a very common one in my family. Some of it is nature and some nurture. Often anxiety is also involved. Generally I am the one hurt most by the tendency. And it is my problem. My issue.

How are you very much like your parent(s) and how very different?

I would say that I am like them in the sense of I live my own life, I don't let people tell me what I should/ shouldn't do, and I agree with my birth name. lol

not alike.. we don't like the same music, I'm intriverted, never left the country, and I am certainly not abusive to anyone or anything- and that's the way it's going to stay

have you ever had anyone ask you do you have a mental illness?. are you bipolar?. something along those lines, and if so, did you tell them or did you just make some excuse up for the behaviour

No. I usually hide it pretty well. I'm sure people notice I"m moody but I don't remember anyone confronting me about it.

Do you like seafood?

I love seafood! When my family visits our friends in the countryside, they always prepare a lot of shrimps and crabs. We would grill some fish at the same time. Oh, how I miss those days!

Is it easy for you to make decisions about important things?

Yes as long as I'm not in a mood episode.

What is the first sign you are going up?

Impulsivity, disinhibition, and/or maybe irritability (though usually more than just grumpy).

How much time to yourself do you generally like?

I'm alone except for a 1-2 hours per day (and sometimes not those) and it is fine with me. I am overwhelmed by too much interaction at a time.

Do you like air conditioning or would you rather be hot but in fresh air?

Oh for sure AC! No doubt about it an indoor woman.

When do you feel truly alive? Curiously I feel most alive outside and in nature but I prefer to stay indoors. You?

I love outside but during the summer I'm mostly stuck inside because my meds make me unable to tolerate heat well. I still do get out for a while nearly every day to walk our dogs and that feels good.

Do you attend class reunions/homecomings?

Generally not, except that I did attend some of the events of my 25th high school reunion. That was two years ago. I do sort of keep in touch with my two main high school friends, through Facebook.

If you've been out of high school or university for a while, what has been the biggest change you've noticed in an old fellow student? Good or bad.

I left high school 18 years ago wow that didn't seem so long ago when I thought about it first lol. I guess my fellow class mates are all either married, have children, have decent jobs, living a proper life than I am. I feel I'm miles behind them all

Question: What song makes you boogie to it when it comes on the radio etc?

Definitely my self-absorption which is worse when I’m manic or depressed

What things have helped you change?

To some extent, getting older. The School of Hard Knocks offers quite the education. When I was young, I thought I was invulnerable & could get away with all forms of nonsense. Well, it turns out that wasn't the case at all...

Of all the sensory experiences you've enjoyed in your life, which was the most enjoyable?

The first time I laid under my weighted blanket.

Did you go to a prom? My friend just posted a picture of my senior prom. So long (and so much psychotropic weight gain) ago.

I don't remember if they were called proms or some other type of dance parties, but I went to two that were at least prom-like. At one, I was surely hypomanic, at the least. I likely embarrassed the date (who never called me again) and myself, though like Mr. Bennett of Pride & Predjudice, I forgave myself, quickly. But there was a high school prom I refused to go to. I was in a most irritable or down mental state at the time. A guy that I knew very little invited me, and I said no. Though these were the main reasons, I strongly fear that nice guy thought another was. If he did, I feel deeply ashamed. Actually, my fear now is that he did.

How many people did you date in high school? And in your 20s?

None. The first time I went on a date was when I was 29. I met a guy from an online dating app, but it didn't work out. I hope I dated earlier, but my mom was always telling me it was not good for my studies when I was younger. Plus, no one asked me out before then.

What colors do you think look good on you?

I have green eyes with a distinctive bright yellow circle around the pupil (hazel eyes, I guess you might say). Green or yellow really make my eyes pop (or so I'm told). I don't, however, stock up on those colors because of this.

OK...County and state fair season is fast approaching. Do you enjoy attending such events? If so, what is your favorite part? Which rides do you enjoy?
