My appointment was maybe 5 min. She asked me a couple of questions I answered and she was like okay is there anything else you want to talk about. Nope. okay I'll call you next week. WTF? Now I'm on the verge of tears. I need help. It's not like I can just open up. I have no idea what she knows about me or what my file says but she's written my off. I feel like calling her back and telling her she can't do this to me it's still my hour.

She called and apologized. She knows nothing about me just my initial assessment 2 years ago. She's writing in her notes not to let me go early. She'll only hospitalize me if I'm unsafe if I fail the assessments. I told her hospitals aren't safe to me. There was lots of silence. She thinks my paranoia has gone unchecked and I need more meds and to work on that. She wants my husband and son to leave for about 15 min. every day this week after I create affirmations. I think I might do a timeline of my ****ed upped ness.

So Sorry that happened! i agree with the other wise and wonderful posters about being Sorry. i am glad that she called back and Apologized and i Hope things will improve from next time one and that this won't happen again. Kudos to you for calling her back! It sounds like she just needed to get to know you a bit.

I had this happen to me. After 18 minutes she asked if I had anything else to talk about after 30 seconds she said ok see you next week. I confronted her the next week and said don’t worry I bill the insurance for the less time but I said I don’t care about that because I have to pay the copay regardless.

I don't know what this means no therapist has made me cry before. I've never openly said anything like that. It was rough. The thought she gave up that fast hit me HARD. I didn't tell her that I thought she already gave up on me. I did tell her I didn't know her asked her her hospitalization policy. Which sparked are you suicidal. I didn't tell her that I don't actually get suicidal. I'm making a list of things she should know.

You said that there was a lot of quiet. I just wanted to tell you I've been seeing my therapist for 15 years (this week in fact) and we still have quiet times. It gets easier to handle the time (and is even easier when in person; right now I wind up telling him during those pauses that I'm crying or shaking or something he should be able to see himself (video doesn't work very well here so we do about 50/50 phone and video.)

It sounds like you are working hard at this and your counter says you are taking you meds. So you are really doing great. Plus you stood up for yourself! I think this therapist may be good for you if you're working so hard to make it work. Hopefully she'll do her part and I think she will when she sees how hard you are trying.
