My all-time favorite meal was Alaskan King Crab i got at The Keg restaurant with my family when i was a teen gymnast and anorexic and had just finished the competitive season and allowed myself something indulgent. I ate the whole thing! The waiter was so astonished he did a double-take and my dad explained about me being on a restrictive diet due to training. That was THEE best meal i ever ate!

Do you find it hard to talk now, especially on the phone, since the pandemic? I've never been very good on the phone, but since the pandemic and talking so little in general i get stumped on the phone and search for words, it's very awkward.

No, quite the opposite actually. I look forward to talking to people on the phone and find calling to make appointments/ask questions/do business easier because it's human connection but still staying safe. I used to hate talking on the phone, but now it's not too bad. In person however has become more difficult mostly for wearing masks and not really being able to read people as well and not trusting the other person to be healthy and so on.

If you could create your own planet, what would it be like? Would it have life? What kind of life?

A sexist answer, but it would consist of all woman, with the exception of enough men to form some decent baseball leagues. I've always prefered the company of women, & men have better luck throwing curveballs. The constant temperature would be between 60-70 degrees with low humidity.

If money wasn't an object what vehicle would you choose to own? Describe it & explain why.

A luxury sedan, which one is constantly changing. the problem is I like the look of cars from the 20’s the long sleek coupe and they don’t make them like that anymore but I like the modern touches like heat, power steering and AC. So if money really wasn’t an issue I’d have one made for me that had the look of the 1920 or 1930s luxury British car. A two seater.

What’s your favorite flower

potato (in chip form). it's the only one that my body won't reject.

what do you think of the name biff?. (strange question, sure!), but I've encountered this name a lot lately as a full name for a boy

Sounds like a name from a 1950s cheesy sitcom where Biff would be the heartthrob of goody two-shoes teenyboppers.

If you ever had a new child (or first one), what might you name a boy and/or girl?

Clara or Laura. Not sure about a boy's name.

Do you fall asleep with glasses/contacts/hearing aides in when they aren't supposed to be?

Yeah

If you were a cat, would you be a bush-dweller or a tree-dweller?

If choosing also means I can eat it Reese's cups. (I'm allergic to peanut butter so normally that's not an option for me and I really miss it).

What is your favorite flavor of jelly or jam?

It depends what I am using it for. For croissants or other morning pastry, I'd say apricot. For peanut butter and jam sandwiches, cakes or cookies like Linzer tarts, then raspberry.

What is a common "quick" meal you often have?

I wasn’t seeking a diagnosis. I was convinced by ER staff to talk to a psychiatrist about my husband who was beating me. He diagnosed ptsd it was till a couple years later that they noticed the mood swings. By then I had a long list of diagnosed conditions. When I stopped the AD it went down to ptsd and bipolar. Now it’s just bipolar.

Does time move at different speeds for you?

Yes! I was JUST thinking how I looked at my watch at 1:07pm and half an hour later I looked at my watch and it still said 1:07pm! But this morning flew by when I had stuff to do. I consider myself "time blind"

Have you ever had an allergic reaction to your meds?

Not my psych meds, no. I had an allergic reaction to. Penicillin though. I’d taken it before with no problem then all the sudden in college I had giant hives all over even on the bottom of my feet. Oh it was missable.

In America if you qualify for disability don’t you think you should get free medical care, dental, vision and mental health care?

I would say yes, or at least pretty darned close to free, other than maybe some cosmetic type stuff. I can't say it's "free" in my new country, but compared to the US it would seem so. People do all pay into the system (universal health-care system). However, if a person is disabled and unable to work, or is unemployed and incapable of getting a job, in CZ, they are still covered. Unlike some in the US, Czechs don't go around yapping that they don't want to pay into a system that helps all (and themselves, if they were to need it). Such people would rather give tax breaks to the rich rather than give a dam about the whole. And yet, they do pay plenty into the system, but that money doesn't help the whole like it should. A lot could improve if there was more of a team spirit in the US.

What is the highest bill you pay? I'm not asking for any monetary info. Just category (i.e. groceries, rent).

I guess four or maybe five. Two smart phones, two laptops, and one desktop, though Hubby said the desktop computer is on the fritz. Only he really used it.

What room do you spend most of your time in, and why?

Family room, it’s the room with the TV that I nearly always have on for background noise and my recliner. Mum is usually in the living room, that’s where her favorite chair is and. She likes looking out the front window.

Do you have a TV? If so is it usually on?

I do. It's never on when I'm just home (I don't watch TV unless someone else accompanies me) but it's always on if my mom is home.

Are you currently reading anything? what?
