All done. Bagged and under the tree. Just awaiting a last minute family gift.

Have you sent out your Christmas cards?

Sent out? Not yet, but they are written, in envelopes and stamped. We should send them asap because the ones to the US sometimes take a while to get there. A couple are to Germany which takes a lot less time. We have some in post card form. They take forever to get to their destinations. Longer than enveloped cards. These days, we only send a handful. The variety of available Christmas cards is small in CZ. It didn't used to be a custom, and for many still isn't here. The US is far more "greeting card oriented". Some do send cards for the New Year.

Are you also thinking about holiday menu items or baking sweets? Have you made anything yet?

No. I don't plan on baking anything this year. I'm on a diet. For holiday menu items we go to my husband's mom's house. I can't eat anything there and plan on buying and baking a Tofurkey in advance.

Have you put up your Christmas tree? Is it real or fake?

No tree. I do have a beautiful electric ceramic tree with colored birds but my table has my birthday flowers on it. There are a large pine and pine cone arrangement with white and red flowers. Very Christmasy . There isn’t any other place to put it. I do have a wreath on my door and Star led lights in the window. I did get a tiny live pine tree from the arbor association that came with gold ornaments. But I’ve no idea where to put it. I’m going to use it as a hostess gift Christmas Day. She can plant it in her huge yard.

Do you have too small of a place to decorate?

Yes, my place is tiny, so I have a tiny tree. No real decorations except maybe a cross on my door for protection.

Are you excited for this Christmas? Or is it just another day for you?

Pretty much a day of obligation. Not excited really. But I am looking forward to Christmas Eve. I’m looking forward to the grandkids opening their gifts. I think I did good this year. Looking forward to my daughter and her husband opening their gifts too. All I need to bring is wine.

Do holidays feel more like an obligation than a fun time?

With the anxiety and panic attacks Ive been having it feels like an obligation. I’m not having fun at all.

Have you ever bought yourself your own Christmas gift?

No. One year in grad school I got money to buy a new computer that I desperately needed but that's s close as I've come.

Do you have to travel for the holidays?

No. It will be a staycation for me. But I cannot help thinking of various travel destinations that maybe I will go to one day.

Do you sing Christmas carols? Do you go to see caroling or listen to Christmas music?

I do listen to carols on my iPad. Mostly older versions with crooners from the 50’s and 60’s as that what I heard growing up. Listen to jazz instrumental versions too.

Do you make your own holiday traditions.

I love listening to Christmas music! I annoy my family with it in the morning lol.

Do you have cats?

Have your cats ever knocked your Christmas tree down?

In the past, new year 2009, a cat climbed the Christmas tree but he did not knock it down.

Currently, though, I do not have pets.

If you have cats, more than 1, are they friendly with one another?

I used to foster cats. But the ones I fostered were sick and needed neb treatment or other meds. They all kept to themselves. Then I adopted Sir. He kept sitting on the others so I had to stop fostering. He got along fine with the other cats at the shelter but once in his forever home he didn’t want to share me. It was his house! lol

Do you have pets of any kind?

Yes. Two black cats, two and five, named Stella and Binx. They are TROUBLE! Lol. We just adopted Stella because Binx was lonely after our cat of twenty years passed away. She came from a hoarders home where the woman had 130 cats! Now Binx is much happier. The two are buddies.

Same question.

130 cats! I think this qualifies for a Guinness record!

Two black cats, wow! Halloween all year long.

I currently do not have pets. In the past, yes, canines, felines, rodents of various kinds.

A narrower question: have you ever had a fish tank?

Yes. A Siamese fighter fish. He did great until I added other fish.

Would you go vegetarian or have you ever thought of going vegetarian to save animals?

Saving the animals is a great thought to becoming vegetarian, but I haven't thought of it myself.

Have you thought about maybe starting a diet for the new year?

A: i'm considering it. I recently gained 15 lbs and I'd like to lose it ASAP.

Q: How long do you normally stick to a new years resolution?

Before my pdoc switched me from Haldol to clozaril (that was a disaster) so about two years ago now.

What do you most want for Christmas?

Oh, I also vape by the way. I don't consider it smoking either, but I'm still a nicotine junkie.
