Is there anyone on the forum who takes Vraylar for mood stability and Seroquel for sleep?

I used to take both, at different times.

Do you have a specific question?

I took Vraylar two years ago and had to halt the trial by taking Zyprexa because I stopped sleeping. But other than that, I liked Vraylar.

Now I am on Latuda and Seroquel, Seroquel just for sleep (37.5 mg), Latuda for mood. Latuda kills my libido. Vraylar did not do it. So I want to try Vraylar again, hoping for the return of the libido, but now with Seroquel for sleep. I started this morning: took 1. 5 mg of Vraylar. I was later able to take a nap. I will take Seroquel for sleep tonight.

It sounds like you did the same, took Vraylar first thing in the morning and Seroquel at bedtime. right?

Oh okay.

Mine was both at different times. Time periods I meant to say, not intervals thought the same day.

But yeah sounds like latuda was the one making it difficult. Is it working better now?

It has been one day. Too early so say. And on the starter dose of Vraylar. Time will tell.

I take seroquel for anxiety. It only makes me sleepy and happy if I take 100mg or more. I don't actually have a sleepy med right now. I take 50mg at night, but it doesn't make me tired.

I've heard good things about vraylar though!

They're both very different.

I noticed almost no notable changes to my personality with vraylar, perhaps a bit less excitable. Also threw up on 3mg for a week or two but for whatever reason was fine on 6.

Seroquel zonked me out more. When I was taking 200 at night my days were a bit nicer. I was docile and calm. Not bad, maybe slightly good, but did nothing for dysthymia. Sort of was bored all the time.

And 800 Seroquel throughout the day in the hospital, similar feeling but less active. Sort of felt like a pig in sht, just "fine,".

I had nausea on the second way of the Vraylar trial yesterday. I took Zofran which took care of it.

I found Vraylar really helped with cognitive symptoms like concentration and memory. Not much of a mood stabilizer.

Seroquel doesn't help me sleep. Just gives me bad dreams.

I am sorry to hear that. I have recently read that Seroquel helps about 67% of folks with sleep. Not everyone.

I take Vraylar for mood and Seroquel for sleep. It's been helpful.

Unfortunately, this combination is not working for me. Vraylar causes insomnia and Seroquel cannot fight it. Last night, I fell asleep as usual but soon woke up. I woke up several times and was able to go back to sleep but at 4AM I woke up and did not feel sleepy. I then took an extra 25 mg of Seroquel but still could not fall back to sleep. At 4:44 AM I took 7.5 mg of Zyprexa. Zyprexa always does it for me in terms of sleep. I woke up at 8AM and then during the day needed 2 naps.

It is a shame that Vraylar causes insomnia in me.
