**TRIGGER S/H ISSUES**

I'm flying high but I'm self harming I've done a number on my head I slap myself and hit my head. Today I saw my therapist and I told her. But I'm stressing I'm getting worse. I've had to contact the crisis line twice in a week. She asked if I was holding back I am but I can't talk openly as I feel judged in life. I have urges ti hurt myself tonight I'm with my sister. I have a really sore head. To the point I'm feeling icky. It's been a few days of this nothing is working to get rid of it.

My therapist has upped my sessions from fortnightly to weekly which I'm thankful for. She said I was agitated today I felt restless and I felt like I was talking fast too!

Help! What can I do?

So sorry to hear you've been injuring yourself.

Do you know why? What types of thoughts are going through your mind, just before you injure yourself?

Btw, you're not alone in doing this, I've done it too.

Do you have a pdoc? What medications are you taking?

I think it's good that you'll be seeing your therapist weekly. It's really good that you told her what's going on. Kudos to you for doing that.

My Dx is major depression with psychotic features, btw.

Hi there,

No idea why we'll I'm high been high for months. I have a Psychiatrist who I saw on 28th Feb. He says I'm possibly Hypo-Manic but he's useless so what does he know. I'm taking Depakote 500mg AM and 750mg PM. Also Aripiprazole depot injection monthly 400mg. I'm diagnosed Bipolar type 1.

I'm chatting to guys, spending money, drinking etc but Psychiatrist isn't listening to me

I'm so sorry to hear that your psychiatrist isn't listening to you.

Could your therapist contact his office to discuss your situation?

Hey there,

It's a waste of time she wrote a letter to him last March I handed it in for him. Someone had read it not him and popped it in my file at the very back. He was none the wiser.... I confronted him in June at my appt he was like what letter. So it's a waste of time unfortunately

Oh my yeah you do sound up with aggitation. It's a horrible feeling. You sound like you need some kind of med adjustment but you've just seen your pdoc.

Do you meditate? I can recommend you try some meditation on YouTube. Hey, it's not going to cure you but it's going to be a distraction.

I wonder what else you can do that's going to be a distraction, to take your mind off things?

Listen to music? Have a warm bath with tea? What do you like doing to take care of yourself?

Hey there,

I'm in bed now it's 11:30pm here.... hoping sleep will work. I have a creative writing group at 10:30am tomorrow and meeting a friend afterwards for lunch. So hoping this kind of distraction will help me.

I listen to music anything 80's, 90's or 00's lol! I like re-living my youth lol! I was listening to heavy punk music today. Loud as it could go in my ears. Drowning out my thoughts

My Psychiatrist mentioned Lithium but I said no it's in my care plan not to go on it... My preference. He said he wasn't going to change my meds as they are working apparently.... I'm also on Propanolol 20mg for anxiety/agitation

I'm glad you're on somethig for anxiety/agitation. That's great.

And you like music! Me toooooooo........."Drowning out my thoughts" is precisely why I listen to it sometimes too!

Sound like you have enough distractions lined up which is great

@Miss Laura ,
I would call and ask them to find your letter in the back of things and give it to the pdoc.
He has not gotten the information that he needs. I would hold the staff accountable!!!
