The Christmas I was 8, I got a bridle under the tree! My dream cam true I got a pony! I had to wait until spring to meet him. What girl doesn’t want a pony?

Do you like winter?

I swear I hate winter. It actually makes me depressed.

What’s your favourite season of the year?

I've not been fishing since I was a camp counselor 27 years ago. We just did catch and release into a stocked pond and used hooks without barbs. Nonetheless most people were too squeamish so I did fishing a lot and lost any joy I might have had. I've not tried it again though to see.

Do you have a Christmas tree up? My cat says it is the best thing I've ever done.

No Christmas tree 🎄 but I do have a few angels out and a Christmas tablecloth.

Do you go to Christmas events?

Not Christmas parties or anything really, but we have a cool ice castle that I've visited before, might try to check out again. I saw this thing they have down towards the MA border I might check out too where they have a bunch of Christmas lights set up and you walk through. I've done the Speedway Festival of Lights thing before too, but if I'm driving I can't see the lights, and if I'm not, I'm worried about whoever is haha.

How well can you dance?

Very poorly. I avoid it at all costs.

Is insomnia where you can't fall asleep or when you wake up too early more painful to you?

I usually fall asleep fine. I just wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep. I average four hours a night.

Are you in the Christmas spirit?

(I'm not. Fudge Christmas!!!)

No. Today is the anniversary of my non-bio dad's death and I found out an old friend died yesterday. So lots of sad stuff today. But I did make the best of it and enjoyed my niece's choral concert. So I'm not deeply depressed or anything. Just sad.

What is your favorite holiday song?

Rumballs and Christmas cake! Can't get enough of it.

What do you think you will eat on Christmas day - real or imaginery?

Ham, cranberry salad, scalloped potatoes and some veggie at the 1st one. Who knows at the 2nd. It may be ham again. At the 2nd I will have sparkling grape juice with my nieces.

Do you have a special beverage (alcoholic or not) for the holidays?

You know I’ve only just recently in my 40s learned how to make eggnog and I’ve been making it every Christmas ever since I discovered the “recipe”.

What’s your favourite food to eat that you yourself can make, no matter how simple or exotic?

Crockpot soups. A variety of flavors. African peanut soup (modified a bit b/c it calls for peanut butter and I am allergic so it's made with sunflower butter but it works) and butternut squash are favorites. I like most anything I can make in the crockpot.

Do you have a big Christmas or New Year's meal? Are you done shopping for food?

Usually what happens if I'm with my mom is she assumes "this year [her employer] isn't giving turkeys for Thanksgiving because it is the third week of November and they haven't said anything," and she buys a turkey a day or two before her work says "by the way, want a turkey?" Not gonna turn down free food, so it gets frozen until Christmas which we cook when it's there.

Do you always, usually, sometimes, or never have white Christmases where you are?

Almost always, very rare not to have a white Christmas. I was hoping this year would be one of the rare years but nope yesterday it snowed almost all day.

Same question

I was hoping for a brown Christmas, but sadly we got snow yesterday too.

Same question.

Here we usually have a white Christmas. Not sure if we will this year. There's hardly an inch out there (you can see grass and leaves n **** so right now I wouldn't call it "white"), but we could get a couple inches between now and Wednesday which would be nice.

What do you do when you feel panicky?

Deep breathing because I tend to forget breathing at all.

Are you going to travel this festive season?

The art supplies I gave my granddaughter. She immediately started using them.

Protective sleeves for gardening for my mom. It was a small present but she seemed really surprised and pleased with it and anxious to be able to use it.

What is your favorite gift you received?

Amazon and hot topic gift cards, black kitty slippers (my feet are toasty warm now in the morning!). I know that's more than one. Lol.

Same question.
