Christmas. Such a joyful time of year!

Are you looking forward to Christmas?

I wasn't, but then I was, and now I'm not anymore.

Do you have anything you really want for Christmas?

Yes! A do it yourself at home nail manicure kit I have ordered online and will use before Christmas lol

Are you going to buy yourself a Christmas present this year?

I'm not sure... there's nothing I really want at the moment.

Do you spend time with extended family during the holidays? Or just with immediate family? Which do you prefer?

Immediate family. I prefer it small and intimate.

What are you doing on Christmas Day this year?

If I have snow and energy I'm gonna ski off the roof.

If you could live one day as any other living thing on earth, what or who would it be?

A lion

Who inspires you the most?

A former college professor turned friend. We have a lot in common.

What was your strongest and weakest subjects in high school?

Science and math. My science teacher told me it was abnormal that I was so weak at math when I was so good at science. I was also strong in art and history, loved history. Oh wait, no my strongest subject was mechanical drafting. I forget that now because it’s not a thing anymore, it all done on computers now. So yeah, drafting and architecture classes. I was very lucky because my HS had those classes.

Did you like high school?

No, i disliked high school. My former best friend told me later that her parents had warned her to stay away from me because of the things going on in my family. I wondered if it was that way with other kids. They were pleasant to me at school but did not include me in their weekend plans. So many times i heard them laughing about stuff that happened on the weekend -- it was very painful to be excluded.

If you took post-secondary training, college or university, did you have a good time?

My first two years of uni were spent mostly going out with the dorm mates. Lots of drinking, and partying. My major was drafting and that seemed a dying field so after two years I took a year off. Then I transferred to a different u with a major in sociology at that school I had more fun. I lived off campus and got more involved in clubs and afterschool activities. I joined book clubs, and cultural groups and had more fun than the first two years just partying. I was never much of a drinker, the year off working full time taught me to be better with saying no. I also worked full time and payed for school on my own. So partying wasn’t so attractive.

I loved it! Although I probably spent more time socialising but somehow managed to pass!

Do you have lots of acquaintances or 1 or 2 true friends?

I don't really have much of either. I live a pretty isolated life.

Do you like staying in hotels?

Yes but not something I do often enough. I never go away.

What’s your all time favourite movie that you could watch more than once?

I’ve no idea why but a rewatchable favorite for me is the Canadian version of riverworld. That and the golden compass & melancholia. There’s better movies but these are my favorite rewatch movies

Do you have movies you’d rather not have people know you watch?

I wonder if it’s socially acceptable that I’ve watched National Lampoons Christmas vacation more times than I can count on 2 hands lol

Do you have something in your life that brings you joy?

I have two things with fur, four paws, and a tail each.

Least favorite chore?

Ooo, that’s a toss up between dusting and vacuuming. I hate both.

Do you like giving gifts better or receiving gifts more?

I prefer giving. Getting gifts makes me anxious.

Do you prefer to shop online or in stores?

Online. I enjoy online shopping a lot. I hate shopping in store though. Plus they never have what I want. What I want is always online.

Do you enjoy listening to Christmas music 🎶 over the holidays, or does it annoy/piss you off?

Better yet, do you enjoy listening to music in general?

Hate the classic "Jingle Bells," but I like stuff like Tom Wait- Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis and Dropkick Murphys- The Season's Upon Us

And I love love love listening to music!

Have you ever locked yourself out or in?

I had to think about that and the answer is no. My daughter locked herself out of her apartment a month ago and the locksmith charged her $280 for 5 minutes of his time. I'm in the wrong profession I think.

Where do you like to go to that makes you feel more at ease and peaceful?

My house. It's set up to be a peaceful place for me.

What is the strangest gift you've ever received?

Dog toy. Didn't have a dog. I think I was just called a bytch that day.
