Mine have gotten worse too as in super long length and heavier (though thankfully not filling a pad an hour). This cycle, I've had nausea but even worse one whole week of pink/brown spotting (after being 2 weeks late), and now an entire week of bleeding & it's gotten even heavier today! I am SO ready to be done with this! Oh and while my leg & underarm hair are barely growing, I'm losing my head hair and it seems hardly to be growing at all--not a great tradeoff as far as I'm concerned

I am so hot today, it is making my nausea even worse. I feel like I cannot cool down; this is horrible! I don't know if it's hot flashes or what. I hate this!

@Blueberrybook

I definitely feel you on the nausea! My period ended on Sunday and I'm STILL faintly getting the period nausea! I hate the period nausea. And the hair loss.... it's disturbing! I'm worried I'm going to end up bald! Men have it so easy. Lol.

I’m on day four and it’s still heavy! Must be the blood thinners.

I’ve been having hot flashes for months but they mysteriously disappeared when I started this period!

I hate the waiting game of not knowing when my period will arrive. My gp did give me a script for some sort of hormone that will put me on a regular cycle but considering there’s a cancer risk and considering I haven’t had a period since February I’m good without it I think.

Are anyone else's hot flashes triggered by being hot? I get warm, especially on my memory foam mattress that retains heat (working on getting a cooling cover) and then the next thing I know I'm burning up. I'm about to go lower the AC temperature but I don't like to because I don't like to pay for the electricity and because until the hot flash I was actually a bit cool. It's just strange to feel the hot flash building over my warm body.

I remember it happening that way rainbow. Bedtime became a real torture in part thanks to memory foam and in part just because sleep is harder during perimenopause. The lack of decent sleep didn’t help my bipolar. But entering full menopause helped.

I "think" I may finally be down to just spotting today. It's been 17 days of spotting then bleeding. Good grief!

I told my mom that I had shaved my legs for the first time in weeks last night even though it could easily have gone another 2 weeks before hair would be visible to others. She laughed but then told me that the next step is hair growing in weird places like on your chin.

Horrors!

That didn’t happen for me. Maybe you’ll be lucky too!

I went into surgical menopause in 2021 and my endocrnolgist is wondering if the hysterectomy is causing all this current GI stuff

Today is day 6 and the spotting has stopped completely so a 5-day period- with days 1 and 2 being particularly heavy because of the blood thinner.

Figured I'd just post this in here since it's about woman stuff....

Went to my ob/gyn appointment, had my ultrasound, and luckily other than having a cyst on my left ovary everything looked fine. She went through a bunch of things we could do. IUD, hormonal birth control, surgery, etc. The only thing that sounded okay to me was this one pill she recommended that I could take up to three times per day during the heaviest days of my period that would make the bleeding lighter.

That of course doesn't solve my nausea situation, but I do have that zofran my GP prescribed me that lasts about ten minute! Lol. I was thinking about calling and seeing if there was a different anti-nausea med I could take.

Anyway, so that was pretty much my ob/gyn appointment.

Oh, and I found out I've been getting hot flashes for a while now. I started getting really hot in the doctor's office while we were waiting, and my therapist asked me if I was having one. It felt like heat was burning through my skin or something, from the inside.

I can't help but feel like my body is portraying me right now! It's doing all these weird things. It's become unpredictable. Ugh.

@raspberrytorte - Yes, you describe it perfectly! I was having hot flashes this morning and that's exactly what I felt like. Same at night when I have them usually before falling asleep.

I'm not sure if this is related to perimenopause or what, but has anyone experienced hair changes (not just losing hair or it turning gray) but changes in texture for example? So my hair used to be 100% straight. Flat as flat can be. But lately it's been wavy and curling especially if I air dry it and don't brush it. The same is happening to my 2 sisters, especially my middle sister, who is only around 16 months younger than I am. It is true our mom has wavy hair, but my mom has had wavy hair her entire life or at least from her teenage years on. Mine has just started this and has gotten wavier the older I get. I just think it's weird, and it's not just me but my sisters too. We are all in our 40s.

I went to a different hairdresser once and she told me it’s common for hair to become more wavy or textured when you age. I’d forgotten about that until your post.

No not my eyebrows I have enough else to deal with lol

Raspberrytorte I was on meds 3x a day to lighten my period but over here in Australia you can only be on it for 3 months. It definitely did help reduce the flow immensely. Hopefully you’ll be able to stay on it for longer! It’s a great med. I just forget the name of it.

She gave me refills. I believe I can be on it longer. I can't remember the name of it. And I can't find my bottle. It starts with a t and then ends with acid.

The gray hairs I have coming in are all wiry and awful! I hate them. I'd be more okay with the grays if they matched the texture of my normal hair, which is quite nice. Whatever though. I dye them anyway.

@Crazy Hitch

Yeah. It's some weird name. I wish i could find my bottle! I know it's up in the cupboard. I'm just too lazy to stand on a chair and search for it right now. Lol.

Ah ha! I found it! Buried behind some cans of peaches. Lol. Tranexamic acid 650mg tablets. Holy cow. And she gave me 11 refills.
