You know you're borderline when your husband gets diagnosed with depression and you think, "He's just trying to steal my thunder" lol

You know your borderline when: you make a cake for your kids' birthday. no one likes the icing. so you've obviously screwed up their entire birthday. so you scrape all the icing off the cake throw it in the garbage. declare that you can't do anything right and they should have a nice birthday w/o you before you screw more things up! Only for the kids to start telling you "mom, its OK. its just a cake. we'll help you fix it." Damn I'm an idiot!

When food always seems to be flying around you. Twice in the car, once I got so mad I threw my big mac at my husband another time I threw a milkshake at him and it exploded all over his clothes and on our windshield.
Thanks for this!

Yeah...food can get messy. Emotional regulation control is at the heart of this diagnosis.

Emotions are hard for everyone. But living with BPD is like a three year old driving a car. It's dangerous. You get an impulsive idea and try your best not to act on it. Sometimes you can control it. Sometimes you can't.

My theory is that those with BPD never feel comfortable in their skin. They hate themselves without really knowing why. It's hard to keep a job, nurture a relationship or get through the day with a mind that jumps, bumps and thumps.

I'll continue to my best to get control of my impulses and try to be good to those that love me. Maybe I'll never love myself. But I know I can improve and live a more fulfilling life.

They say that one can grow out of BPD. I don't believe it. Everyday will be a struggle. But it's worth it. Life, love and the human experience is worth having.
Thanks for this!

When I get another dx, start out happy to know what it was, then mad that the dr didn't check on other possibilities. Then depressed due to all the added stress/pain I'll have

when you feel out of place. so you go into your house (b/c everyone else is sitting in your lawn), then you get pissed off when your bf doesn't follow you into the house to check on you. When he does you get snippy b/c people are tracking in dog crap and your left to clean it up. He goes out and tells everyone to take off their shoes before going in the house. Then leaves you to clean up. So you get even more pissed that your left in the house. But you don't like fireworks any ways so you'd rather be in the house. But damit why can't someone come see you!

When you start new medication only to stop them a few months later because they don't do anything then after 2-3 weeks you spiral into a cold, nasty being then it hits you that the medication might actually be doing something so you start taking it again for a few months by that time you've forgotten what happened last time you stopped taking them and you think these damn meds aren't doing anything so you stop taking them again then next thing you know you're in a cycle of stopping and starting medication and your pdoc calls you a pain in the arse.........

you wonder why you get left out of conversations all the time and always feel like the odd ball. so i guess i'll go in the house hang out with the kids and sulk about ALWAYS being the responsible one who looks after the kids. Only to find out that someone was looking for you and wondering why you weren't outside with the adults having a good time.

You're off work for personal reasons and your boss emails you every day checking that you're ok and asking if he can do anything for, and it p****** you off that he is on your back and won't give you any space. Then 2 days in a row he doesn't contact you at all- so he never really cared at all, he must hate you, he prefers the person that is covering for you and you're fearing for you job.
