I've been feeling terrible lately, I haven't stepped out my front door in days, I haven't even stepped out of my bedroom for more than half an hour, I look forward to sleeping and hate the thought of waking up, I'm avoiding my boyfriend and T because I don't want to socialise, I feel numb and just ugh.
I used to have a couple of things that made me feel better, (reading, writing, playing with my dog, etc), but now whatever I do just doesn't help anymore. What makes you guys feel a bit better? Someone please share? |

One thing I find helps when I don't want to socialize is writing a letter to myself... If I don't want to talk to anyone else, then maybe I am the only one who can make myself feel better... So I write to myself, seal it in an envelope, and come back to it a little later, and read it out of the moment... That usually either helps me realize where I wasn't quite thinking straight, or realize that I need those other people to help me, or a combination of both... Hopefully this helps

it sounds like you are isolating and have lost interest in things that used to make you feel good. these are symptoms of depression. the best thing is to force yourself to talk to your t about what you are feeling so that he can help you. get back into those activities that made you feel good in the past so they can make you feel good again.
