Oky, need imput without judgement here. I have several spinal issues... we all know that but yesterday I was rear-ended by a truck carrying a traier with a heavy load. The impact felt big but the damage was small. I called the police and all but really did not feel it was any big deal, minor damage. So, today I have a headache and stiff neck with muscle on one side that feels like a hard cord. Called Dr. on call and he said whiplash. I need to be evaluated on Monday. I feel like calling these people will make it sound like I am a money grubbing idiot. Like I am Trying to get money for nothing. What should I do?

If this was me I would go to the doctor appointment and get the paperwork and submit it to the insurance and let the insurance yours and the other psersons do the battle over money. That way the stress and so on isn't on you.

When I got hit by a car it was so much easier just letting the insurance people take care of the stressful stuff and I just concentrated on getting better.

get it taken care of. don't worry about the money.

WW, a woman ran a redlight and hit me so hard that the impact turned my truck all the way around. i felt fine. one week later i was hurting so much that i went to ER and found that my heart and lungs had been bruised badly. i took care of it.

you have to keep your health in mind instead of worrying about what they may think. you were hit. good luck, pat

I agree with the rest! Let the insurance people know and they can take, at least, that stress away from you. Yes, please go to the doc appt. and let them check you out really good. Who knows what could show up down the road.
I hope the doctor's findings won't be anything serious! need imput

Take care,
Linda

ouch! (((hugs))) If you have coverage already for your spinal issues, then I wouldn't bother with another claim. If you don't have coverage, and need some to address the exacerbation of the issues, then yes, get that. It won't be easy, as they will delay and deny claims, exclaiming that you already had "all those" pains and problems.

Talk with the doctor and see if he can make a clear delineation of your previous and current problems. Good wishes on this (((ww)))

Sorry to hear about the accident. The important thing here is your well-being. You and (hopefully) the other driver have insurance to take care of these unfortunate incidents. Even good drivers can cause an accident. That is why they are called "accidents" instead of "on-purposes".

Did you exchange all insurance info with the other driver? If so make sure you give that info to your insurance company. They should take care of things. You just take care of your needs and, assuming you are not at fault, it should all work out, paid for by the other driver's insurance.

Remember, you are entitled to have your needs taken care of.
