We have 5 tats also and don't distinctly remember any of them triggering a flare.

The voice of personal experience sure out weighs my guess about getting a tat causing a flare. Thanks for the input ladies.

showered today and had a healthy fruit salad for breakfast.

did nothing for my mood (never does), and increased my fibro pain, but oh well: it's done for another week

My personal experience includes wishing I'd never got them within three months of getting them.

I researched removal and talked to a couple of people that had already had it done.

The process is more painful than getting the tattoo in the first place, so ...

Hey.. My first I got about 8 years ago. My Dad and I always had a thing about dragonfly's . Anyway my daughter and I wanted to get one in honor of him.. We both wanted a different style , I got mine on the underside of my arm. She got one on her foot.

The next was right on my collar bone.. " Inhale the future Exhale the past. and I got a Semi colon between my thumb and index finger.. It became all the rage. I got mine before that, I had stumbled across Amy Beul's story a year or so before.. I was devastated when she did end her life, She brought talk of suicide to the masses.

I also have a tattoo on my left wrist the bottom side of a simple bird, It represents that I have wings and can weather a storm

My late tattoo is on my right wrist also under side that says " Balance" and its also a reminder that I strive for finding balance in my life..

They are all ones that I had planned, None were done on a whim.. they all each have great meaning to me.

None of them caused a Fibro flare for me, I mean my fibro is always bad , but none caused a flare ...

I had a few more tattoos planned but with psoriasis there is a chance it could cause a psoriasis plaque..

For once I'm being sensible taking care of myself. I worked my butt off (oh if that were only true) the last few days. I was going to Mom's today. I decided to stay home and do stuff inside today, give myself a chance to rest.

Update ...

ADA Meeting this Friday.

I've already decided if I cannot continue to work from home, I will apply for disability.

I can't hardly walk anymore anyhow so it's time I face that sad fact!

Not about to return to campus and try to negotiate my way through throngs of people that could care less about my health status.

Not to mention being at increased risk for severe illness or death if I contract Covid!

Our governor just rescinded all local efforts to implement required masks in public, and I'm sure our University will follow suit.

In the meantime cases have surged over 50% in our area, overwhelming the hospitals to the point they're having to divert patients elsewhere.

Pfrog is exhausted physically and mentally and just doesn't have the energy to push herself through anymore.

I'm done!

(*(*(*(*Pfrog*)*)*)*)

I believe a lot of people are worn down by ongoing events. Some days it feels like the danger from this virus will never end. Add that on top of daily struggles with medical problems and it's overwhelming.

I hope your school will let you keep working from home until you CD an retire.
