Hi Friends,

I thought I would use the smiley with sunglasses so I could announce my problem incognito. Toe Pain

Who would think toe pain could be so debilitating. Toe Pain

Now that my ankle pain has pretty much disappeared after my broken ankle in May, pain from both sets of toes have resurfaced.

It is pretty interesting that while I was having ankle pain, I didn't feel any toe pain.

Anyone else have any toe pain?

Does not sound like fun. I don't have problems with my feet because my husband waits on me, hand and foot :-) Of course, he's the one who has to go to the podiatrist, LOL. Maybe I should start waiting on him. . . nah Toe Pain

Perna and Bebop,

Thank you for your responses.

I had surgery on my left foot several years ago to correct hammer toes. The orthopedist botched the job in my opinion, and my left foot no longer looks normal, and the pain has continued. I had a nerve in the foot, which became pinched as a result of the first surgery, removed by another doctor, but the pain came back.

The toes on my right foot have also become painful, due to the hammer toe condition, but b/c of my bad, first experience I have yet to address it. Besides which to get to a good doctor, it will be about a 1-1/2 ride oneway.

In order to not interfere with my work, the next available time I could do surgery is next summer.

I would love to hear from any other foot sufferers.

I also had foot surgery (bunionectomy) by an orthopedist that failed. I would not be too willing to do it again.

But perhaps between now and then you could research to find an orthopedist who specializes in hammertoe repair, had lots of experience, and comes recommended.

Hi Echoes,

Thank you for your note.

I do have the lead on a good podiatrist from my broken ankle experience in May. However, he is 1-1/2 hours away, so I just haven't been able or willing to invest the time just now.

Thank you for validating what I was thinking. Toe Pain

I frequently get cramps in my toes. Several professionals (podiatrist, orthopedist, chiro) have looked at my feet and no one has found anything wrong. However, the cramps can be very painful. Sometimes using toe separators can be helpful.

I have toe pain in both feet. I get pain all over though from fibromyalgia. It hurts to walk and everything. it doesn't help that my pinky toe might be broken and their is nothing they can do for that. Hope it subsides for you
